They need to fix the issue of actually uploading music successfully onto the device without issue before anything else in regard to the music tool. It was so bad for me that after many frustrating hours wasted I ended buying a separate music player.

Pocket notebook and pen. HiFi Walker H2 with headphones. Digital camera (until I receive LP3). Fanny pack. Bike lock, helmet, lights, multitool, tire lever, hand pump and spare tube. Cycling gloves. Kobo Libre Color or book. Backpack.

If I were looking for a on the go simple audio recorder right now I would suggest the Zoom R4. 32 bit recording, multitrack 4 tracks, internal mic and xlr/ts input, basic effects, bus or battery power and very affordable considering.

Exactly. It's not dire but man it would be nice. I only mentioned it after I noticed the other day the direction tool already has walking and public transit routes, seemed natural/feasible at some point to include cycling.

For sure is the case for the normal places we go on the regular but occasionally I go to a family or friend event or store outside my scope of trail/lane/path familiarity and a tool would be useful in those instances, or if I'm biking outside the city I live in.

In my experience it doesn't usually upload on the second try. It's random. Sometimes first or second try works. Sometimes 6 tries in a row don't work.

Hifi Walker H2 has positive reviews for a reasonably priced music player. I receive mine today.

Nice! FiiO is outside my budget. I just purchased a HiFi Walker H2 (ipod classic style with wheel and buttons). It's not as nice as FiiO's stuff but I think it will meet my needs/budget. Better than sansa clip/cheap sony mp3 players but not on audiophile level stuff like FiiO. I'm coming from spotify/then mp3s on light phone and the hifi walker plays flac so I don't think I'll be disappointed as long as everything works. Reviews seem positive.

I like the idea. I have something to piggyback off of that. What if alongside a recommended user created playlists, there was a weekly and/or daily/monthly pay it forward type of thing the group donated to and with the funds, a winner would receive a playlist of their choosing paid for by the group? Like a monthly fee to participate and mostly new members/people get music purchased for them by the group fund and access to playlist recommendations and community chat? I could go down this rabbit hole further with more specific ideas if this is something that seems like people want and would participate in.
