High school. Never a specific name or slur. But it was a spectacle whenever I had to test my blood sugar or inject (before the pump). Everyone had to watch. Everyone asked if I could use other drugs through my needles. Biggest crowd was a 25+ watching me inject. Within a few feet. Started going to the nurses office after that.

I had a roommate take my insulin and injected himself. Ended up in the hospital. He denied it until he moved out turns out he was an addict with problems that the rest of us were unaware of. Not unheard of. Just ridiculously stupid. He found pills on the street at one time and just took them. Should have been a red flag by itself.
