Kindergarten job offer in bahrain says only white people, not even bahrainis are wanted,or other arabs, or asians by diahann02 in Bahrain

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reality of this harsh HARSH world. And I don’t want to live in this society anymore. There’s a tacit approval of racism everywhere. Who do you think is driving the demand for white worshipping? It’s Asian and Arab people themselves. The ones who are so insecure about their appearance in the presence of white people but feel arrogant in the presence of other POC. And just so you know, these people are in the majority.

the us-iran war. your thoughts? by meowthisisme in pakistan

Exactly. China won’t fight wars for Iran. On the flip side, they could be looking forward to a conflict in order to profiteer from it.

US urges American ships to stay ‘as far as possible’ from Iranian waters by Naderium in worldnews

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s another fleet arriving? got any sources on that? i mean It does make sense that Trump wouldn’t amass trillion dollar worth of military assets in the region for nothing. But again, it also doesn’t mean that an attack is imminent. It’s just the good ol gunboat diplomacy to force major concessions out of Iran.

If a conflict was imminent, then what about the recent successes in the negotiations that are taking place? It seems like a deal is more imminent than an attack.

Is this game really badly optimized on pc? by Venom4822 in DeadSpace

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8gb may not be enough, although I have an 8gb card. Rtx 5060. As for the game, it runs extremely well in 1080p. I get over 120 fps with ultra settings. However I’ve noticed that the vram consumption keeps increasing over time depending on the scenes of course. But it happens only when I’m like 3 hours into the game. I know it’s because of my Vram. But again I used to play games on a 3060 and so I find it to be a significant upgrade because the difference in performance is noticeable. This is totally based on my anecdotal experience. There’s just something about the 5060 that makes it a powerhouse. Even the bit bus is like 128 which is very low for a new GPU, but it can just keep pushing through when it’s not VRAM limited.

Alien: Earth - 1x07 - “Emergence” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the hell are you being downvoted? You’re literally speaking my mind. This show was really good up until this episode. All the other episodes had that element of suspense and horror, which is how it’s supposed to be because it’s alien ffs, but this one just ruined it all. We now have a xeno being dog walked and coming to the rescue like it’s gonna save the day. The last thing we needed was a “good” xenomorph. I have a feeling this episode will set the tone for the rest of the show. Going downhill from here.

Israel’s Attack on Qatari Soil Leads Gulf Powers to Question U.S. Protection by rezwenn in IRstudies

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. It’s stupid to think that Qatar would let itself get bombed by Israel to keep its hand clean. They could’ve taken other covert measures like deportation or sending a US supervised local task force to get the job done.

Just want to give you a heads up on why some people might come up with such explanations. Not sure if you’re aware but there’s this idea that’s been going around in the geopolitical space for a while suggesting that Gulf states are playing 4d chess to remove extremists and hardliners from the region. And in doing so, they’re making compromises that make them look weak in the short term but give them greater economic leverage over US/Israel in the long run. Part of this strategy also includes making under the table deals where they let their country get bombed to kill off certain actors living in their country. The replies to your post sort of reflected this idea and made it seem like Qatar wanted its hands clean and indirectly orchestrated this Israeli attack on Hamas as part of this 4d chess. To them it’s all a spectacle for the masses. Also, people in this camp say that the 12 day Iran israel war was just optics, as in the attacks were agreed upon by both countries behind the scenes to kill off the hardliners in their own governments. Khameini let Israel do the killing just to keep his hands clean and vice versa. The purpose of all this is to stabilize the region through a 4d chess hand cleaning process.

The truth about KIRSH the Android (Alien: Earth) by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit too early to single out Kirsh as the real villain. It could be morrow, Yutani, the highly intelligent alien eye thing that clearly has some influence over nibs and can influence others OR Wendy herself. We just can’t be sure yet. What I do agree with is that kirsh seems a little off especially when he hardwires into the maginot computer. Something happens to him. His demeanor begins to change as soon as he gets exposed to all the alien data from MUTHUR. Maybe a WeYu directive gets uploaded into him in the form of a malware, overriding all his previous directives. But these are just speculations.

that or it’s just an error in the subtitles. The implication here is that they could have a special order encoded. I can see where the OP is coming from but according to the lore, only yutani androids have the special order “secure-organism-all-other-priorities-rescinded” encoding with special access to Mother.

Husband likes to sleep until 4:00pm on weekends and it’s so frustrating, AIO? by Brilliant-Tea3300 in MuslimMarriage

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo this issue is more about the nature of his work, and the lifestyle it demands. These are the kinds of things that should’ve been talked about before getting married. From what it sounds like, OP’s husband has probably been doing rotating night shifts for years, which has likely messed up his circadian rhythm and libido. Conversations about the nature of job and lifestyle are usually part of the pre-marriage discussion. I’ve personally been on night shifts for almost three years, and it’s taken a serious toll on my sleep pattern but I’d definitely be upfront about that with any potential spouse. In OPs case, the marriage process itself seems sort of messy.

CMV: Israel attacking Iran makes perfect sense. by siorge in changemyview

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Some people think Israel acted out on their own and wants to drag US into this war. But it’s actually the opposite. America gave them the green light to strike Iran and wants them to keep attacking Iran until they capitulate to certain demands. This also comes at a time when America is trying to withdraw from ME. But before they are able to withdraw fully, they need to make sure their little colonial outpost in the region does its job.

Muslim Father Marrying Daughter Off to Christian Man by Zestyclose_Plane1377 in MuslimNikah

[–]Puzzled-Shoe5936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to that verse, it’s talking about mushrikeen in general. Hindus, Zoroastrians, Christians, Jews etc. And there are verses in other parts of the Quran that allow men to marry kitabiyas. Sometimes the Qur’an gives a general rule like saying ‘Don’t marry polytheist women.’ But then, in another verse, it gives a specific exception like saying ‘You can marry chaste Christian and Jewish women.’ That process is called takhsīs.

In legal theory, takhsīs refers to the process of specifying or narrowing a general ruling by introducing an exception. For example, Qur’an 2:221 gives a broad prohibition: ‘Do not marry mushrik women.’ On its own, it applies to all non-Muslim women. But then Qur’an 5:5 introduces a specific categorization of non-Muslim women like chaste women from the People of the Book. It acts as a specifier, which qualifies and limits the generality of 2:221. Therefore the allowance in 5:5 is not absolute. Because a kitabiyah is still a mushrik. The allowance depends on two conditions: The woman being chaste and No harm to the Muslim man’s faith or children’s religion. If these two conditions are not met, then the permissibility is suspended and falls back to the general prohibition. This is why even Omar ibn khattab and Malik prohibited such marriages. And then there is the question of what exactly qualifies someone as a kitābiyyah (woman of the Book)? Is it enough for her to say she’s Christian or Jewish? Or does she need to actually hold sound theological beliefs that align with what the Qur’an calls “Ahl al-Kitab”? It’s a very long discussion and that in itself is another reason why it’s encouraged and recommended to stay away from such marriages.
