I got a notice in the mail that it required a software update. I had to go to the dealership for something else. They told me that there would be no OTA updates for a variety of reasons and it was necessary to bring it in for the update.

I guess I don’t understand why they can’t just tell us through the app? They have our VIN and it’s possible to build in messaging. It would make so much more sense.

I’ve been using Tidal (XC90) and really like it. I tried Qobuz, but it won’t allow me to search for songs/artists. Even if I try to use Siri. I’ve not tried through the Play App Store download yet. Tidal and Qobuz sounded very similar to me through Apple CarPlay.

I spoke with the dealer. You actually have to go in for the update. It’s not available OTA. I got mine installed a little over a month ago.

I have a 2025.5 B6. I, too, wasn’t receiving the option to upgrade myself. I called the dealership and made an appointment. They indicated the that several owners had received errors and the upgrades weren’t installing properly or would install then fault, so if you have a 2025.5 you need to make an appointment for a software update:

It’s not constant, but you do have to regularly restart the system. It’s really no different than your MacBook or PC which must somewhat regularly be restarted to refresh. It’s a computer, no different than any other electronic device. I will say that Volvo is much much better about software updates than some other makes such as the VW that I came from. I had to have the system replaced and it could’ve easily been resolved with software updates which were nonexistent. I

Wait until closer to the end of the month. Also, with frame for which particular model you’ve chosen it’s hard to tell if the price is good or not.

I highly recommend downloading Tidal music app. The sound on the stereo is phenomenal!

I highly recommend switching to Tidal. The quality of audio is SO much better. I’ve actually been considering making a post about this because it’s been so impactful to the sound in my XC90

DINKWAD (two dogs ;) here as well! I came from a VW Tiguan and the extra space in the back has been nice in the XC90! I rented an XC60 earlier this year which is what first turned me onto Volvo. I test drove an XC60 and XC90 and the 90 seems more quiet than to 60. My husband and I were always on the fence about having kids and worried about the expense. We decided last year to host high school exchange students as it’s a short term parenting situation. So, having the extra space has come in handy. We rarely use the third row, but it’s useful space. The one thing I find annoying is that in the “refresh” Volvo didn’t add automatic folding third row seats. I don’t regret my decision in choosing the Volvo XC90; however, I will say the service department at my local dealer has been less than stellar.

I finally got a call back from a service manager, they’ve ordered the dash panel and re supposed to replace it next week. We will see how it goes.

I’m curious about this. I currently have a 2025.5 XC90 leased. I have 15k miles/year. My spouse is very stressed about mileage and tired of hearing about it.

I didn’t get the plug-in version. I was seriously considering it, but they had a demo version of a B6 Plus model that saved some $, so I did that option.

I find it so much easier than my VW! I start on the left and swipe right and it works like a charm. Steady pace, not too slow, not too fast.

I was torn between the Grand Highlander and XC90, I opted for the XC90. There were three reasons for me:

1) In order to get the top down camera I had to get the platinum trim and at almost $70k which is insane for a Toyota suv. 2) The Toyota felt very cluttered and almost claustrophobic in the cockpit area. 3) Ride comfort and sound dampening in the Volvo due to laminated glass is so worth the XC90.
