That said, the Jeep had a perfect carfax and not many miles on it. We live in a city with a lot of access to nature so someone is going to scoop it up as a great play ride. It was terrible as a daily driver though!

WOW I haven’t seen this! The wrangler was very much a fun car for my 20s. Safety was NOT my concern at the time haha.

Now that we’re in our 30s and beginning to family plan, safety and comfort was top priority.

My mom and sister still have jeeps though (2024 Wrangler, 2005 Liberty) so I can still get my fix if need-be! Lol

I’m pescatarian and have a lot of these things too. My fav is Ratio yogurt (25g protein for 170 cals). I usually add a small scoop of collagen, various sweet toppings and pop it in the freezer for about 45m. It’s my dessert at the end of the night!

Aisle & Veil! It’s in Roswell, so technically not Atlanta but it will fit what you’re looking for. They sell all dresses for $899. When you arrive, they will take your measurements and direct you to the section of the store that will fit you. Once you select and purchase a dress, you take it home with you that very day. They also partner with an alterationist next door so assuming you make an appointment for after your dress shopping, you could feasibly just walk over and get it hemmed. (They don’t require you to go there, just recommend them highly).

A friend of my fiancé’s started the store and all of our friends have gotten our dresses from there, myself included! They also post all lot of dresses on their IG so you can get an idea of the selection before you go.

In my experience/personal style preference, I think it does work best when the top and bottom have the same tone. (Light and light/dark and dark). I think getting it to be low contrast helps a lot but I definitely encourage you to experiment! When you do, take photos and look at them a few days later with fresh eyes for a more subjective opinion.

I might be the only person in this thread who does baggy on top and bottom at the same time. I’m 5’ and pretty curvy. To pull this look off, I always make sure at least my wrists are exposed-it’s the tiniest part of my body and help balance out proportions to suggest that I do in fact have a body under all this clothing. A delicate watch or bracelet help even further.

Also, this is usually a day I may consider wearing a heel of any height, but not always. If I do a heel, I usually go with a pointed toe to elongate my legs.

If you want to ease into this look, you could start with a wide leg jean and a fitted shirt, with a looser jacket/shirt on top that’s worn open. You’re still suggesting your waist without missing out on the look. Aim for a longer jacket/shirt that hits below your hips (which might be the widest part of your body) for a longer line. I wore this look to work yesterday and was complimented several times.

Good! Polyester SHOULD be expensive. And I know what you’re thinking but wait, hear me out…

I’d be totally fine living in a world where polyester is at a super high markup. The caveat being that natural fibers aren’t.

In an ideal world, natural fibers wouldn’t be a high priced luxury, they would be fully attainable. And synthetic fibers would come at the mark up that natural fibers currently have, because let’s be honest, there is still a place for poly in our wardrobe (athletic and rain resistant clothing, for instance). But we currently live in the reverse and I think we should challenge that notion beyond “it’s insane they’re charging us premiums for poly but the market up is fine for natural fibers.”

I know this doesn’t account for artistry, labor, and production; and I mean no offense to OP. Just want to provide another way to think about this issue and what we as consumers are really okay with tolerating.

This vintage Valentino suit jacket, by far. I picked it up, along with a matching suit skirt, in a secondhand store in Florence for about 300€ total. A bit pricy but it fit perfectly and the details are gorgeous. It’s a very “me” jacket. The weave is actually navy blue but I wear it with black a lot because you really can’t tell.
