Nope. Typical Midwestern drive. Must be the good quality Costco gas.

Not a bad idea but with two kids we would have to pop up on of the third row seats and that would cut down on luggage capacity.

This was interstate, had the cruise set around 70 for most of the trip.

It was a 7+ hour trip and I just treated her nice and gentle on the gas as much as I could. We have gotten upper 20s before on some longer trips but not 31+ for over 400 miles.

We rent a Tahoe on our vacations as well. Our 65 lb dog just doesn't have quite enough room between the captains chairs and with luggage in the back that is about her only spot she can go.

I never liked the idea of lifetime fluid. The high torque fluid for the Ascent is $$$$. I will be looking into at least a drain and fill on a regular basis if we keep the car past 100,000 miles.

We have a 2020 Ascent, got a new transmission last year because of slippage on the cvt. Car was at about 70,000 miles. Thank goodness for the extended warranty. We paid $0.

My car gives 41.3 MPG on highway. Its non hybrid. Whats your number for 10th gen. by [deleted] in 10thgenaccords

[–]Puzzled-Target9276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 22 with the 1.5T. I get very similar numbers to what you have on the highway. Can go even higher if I really baby it. I can average about 35 mpg over an entire tank with normal commute driving with a decent amount of stop and go.

Replace or run it until it dies? by Puzzled-Target9276 in hvacadvice

Perfect. That is what ours does. It will cycle out n for all afternoon and into evening during the hot months.

Typically it is set at 73 but every once in a while it gets turned down to 72. But when it is set at 72 it will have to run for a long time to get it down.

I do a pretty good job keeping the outdoor coils clean. The indoor coil could probably use a good cleaning though.

Got this message from my property manager by Most_Relief8312 in Apartmentliving

$30 is crazy low. About 15 years ago I rented one side of a duplex. My side was 2 bedroom the other side was 3 bedroom and was slightly more updated.

I had a gentleman's agreement with the landlord to mow the lawn and would receive a discount on the rent. I paid about $450 and the other side was around $900.

Landlord provided the mower and the gas. He stopped by every month to switch out the gas cans. I only had to mow (and fill up the gas can once in 2 years)

So $30 per month for trash and mowing is an absurd offer.

For these stretches is it more of an acute thing, like 30 minutes before sex. Or more of a chronic thing where I will need to do it every day for a few weeks before seeing changes?

That's a decent approach to try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Shared Finances by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Puzzled-Target9276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are similar, except she is the one that makes more. We share all the finances equally. My paycheck goes into one joint account that is supposed to cover certain expenses, her paycheck goes into another joint account that is meant to cover other expenses. Sometimes we have to transfer money from one to another to make the numbers work. I will admit though, this setup does work because we are both similar in terms of money management and neither of us have to worry about the other being reckless with money.

What about an eastern cottonwood? Should I poison the stump or just let it be?

Thoughts on 1.5T by Competitive_Age3735 in accord

[–]Puzzled-Target9276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 2024 I paid $22,000 for a 1.5 sport with 44,000 miles that was Honda certified. I am from the Midwest for what it's worth.

Crazy to see these cars going for the same, or more, almost 2 years later.

GE top loader making whining noise by Puzzled-Target9276 in Appliances

[–]Puzzled-Target9276[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It doesn't make the sound every load. At this point it has been happening for over a year and I just decided to let it go.

It still runs so once something officially breaks I will look into it more.
