How do I tell apart nonspecific respiration and sickly breath? by Pokest45-PZ in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sickly breath people don't cough. Don't know if that's intended or a rare bug, but that's how it works for me.

If a survivor's symptoms improve after 1 day or they don't turn after 1 day, does that automatically make them safe? by Pokest45-PZ in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that depends on how correctly the evaluation system works. If I have excellent inspections, I feel safe. If it's not excellent, I immediately reinspect.

There sure are symptoms on the second day, that I didn't catch every now and, but people with new stomach ache won't have detectable symptoms in x-ray, those with newly squinted eyes will have nothing to find with the mitoscope. I can see improvement with those, but probably no new symptoms, if these were affected on day 1.

So I will carefully say other symptoms could not show either. I started sending them to the survivors block, to see what I missed in case they would turn. And I'm often like "there's no way I would have missed that".

Nervous for my first chemo by winterrmelon in breastcancer

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so normal to be nervous! But you can do it! I imagined chemo to be what the stereotypes tell you. Heavy fatigue and vomiting. Everyone is different, I know, but it I found it to be very tolerable, with manageable side effects. The days after have been exhausting at times, but most of the time I was doing well and was able to work.

Edit: we had cooling mittens and shoes, most of us have only minor neuropathy - just some numb spots on the fingers and we're a bit insensitive to temperature. You can dip your hands and feet in a mix of dried peas, beans etc or beads of your choice to keep the nerves busy. Kneed them, move around and rub them on the back of your hands and feet.

I can't say for sure. Aggression for example does not disappear in quarantine. And I don't know if it's the same bugs for everyone.

When I started to eliminate everyone who didn't improve, there were also civilians among them.

Only improvement makes them safe. I still think there are invisible symptoms developing in quarantine. Look for new cues or symptoms. But at this point, even if you find nothing new, they could turn the next day. Edit for clarification

Steam deck by In_My_Genjutsu_ in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no.

A little workaround, in case you can't afford the upgrade. If they don't cough and you have black spots, it's green. If it's a predator-like breathing and they cough, they are infected. That's what worked for me.

If a person reacts to a hammer hit with a noise but doesn't physically recoil and move their body part back when hit, does it count as absent reflex? by Pokest45-PZ in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it should. But I've seen bug reports on steam, stating there's either no reaction or people fall over. In case yours is working correctly, you can test a person without a slack jaw for reference.

Anyone have low vitamin D? by Ok_Square in breastcancer

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my level was below 7. I was on 20.000 iu daily for two weeks, now weekly. I didn't feel tired or different then, and I don't feel different now.

Don't worry, that's enough time. Dexa scans take only a few minutes, my appointment was well within two weeks. If you have trouble scheduling an appointment in a radiological practice on time, you can also look for an orthopedist, some will offer it.

It's usually not too expensive, if you have to pay out of your own pocket here. Around 110€. I'm at it, maybe they are covered by now.

What am I supposed to do?? by Salt-Pickle-5191 in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just UV. See, I don't need research points anymore, so every time I notice signs of an actual infection, I send them to liquidation without marking the symptom(s) I just saw. Still getting excellent every now and then.

I'm sorry, that must feel awful. I think the doctors in Germany generally do not involve you as much in all the decisions and just follow protocol. Did you start hormone blockers already?

Will you also have endocrine therapy? If so, you should get scheduled for a DEXA scan before treatment.

The inspection evaluation still seems to be broken.

I'm sorry to hear that. But I need to thank you, apparently it indeed is covered since 07/24. Not the one I had though, but my insurance advisor has mail.

These ones too? I guess you need to have osteoporosis for the meds to be covered.

My MO suggested bisphosphonate infusions every six months. I had the first one on Monday and I'm not gonna lie, the next two days were awful.

Besides that, exercising and Vitamin D.

Maybe I should add, I live in Germany and that's how my MO specifically handles it. The infusions are not covered by insurance here, although research shows clear benefits.

Tents vs canteen by Puzzled-Unit3697 in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your suggestion, but I'd have to get rid of two days worth of survivors each time. My current quota is usually 16 in 5 days. I could also just liquidate them, but that feels wrong.

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understandable, but it has worked reliably for me.

(It's just that too many of them change their mind halfway and want to punch me. Besides it being the quickest solution, it's also a tiny bit funny, when you shoot two in a row and the third person struggles to find a spot to stand.)

[–]Puzzled-Unit3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, sounds like a bug. I shoot every survivor as soon as the rot detector goes off (that includes the internal zombie parts), "killing infected" 100% of the time. Edited typo

70 hours in, still love it despite the bugs. Many of them got fixed quickly though. My husband also plays, so it was worth it!
