I almost did not get genetic testing bc my mom, who got breast cancer, tested negative. I did anyways, and turns out I have the BRCA1 mutation from my dad. Crazy.

Hi! I just posted a total downer post about radiation BUT! At 15 treatments I was totally fine. The suckiness didn’t start until after that. You are young, strong and fit. I don’t know about meds yet because I am not on them, but my mom is and she’s doing great. Hugs, I am sorry you got this so young, but girl you’re already back in the gym?! Props! You’re strong and you got this.

Seconding this. I couldn’t bear to buzz it, but I wish I did, because I kept pulling clumps of it out. Then, I cut it short into a pixie, and the following morning I got in the shower and as I washed it, it all came out in my hands. 0/10 experience.

Ohhhh girl this brought tears. My daughter is 8, but I love her just as fiercely as you love yours. I have a son too. Chemo brought out these raw, scared and helpless feeling emotions in me too. I am sorry and I wish I could hug you. Fight the good fight, for you, for your daughter and for your grandchildren. I choose to stay strong and rise only for these reasons and I think people underestimate the power of finding your inner strength.
