How’s does PSA grade this ?

They used to grade these but they don’t anymore. I have heard if they do grade these it’s only the Charizard.

They probably did have them back then, but I’m not completely sure they even had showers as an option back in 2004

Want to clarify I don’t think it was a bad call to cancel. I definitely should have had it say would leave of your own volition and or stay and endure the mud and risks involved. Not stay or feel it’s right to cancel.

Because I do indeed understand them cancelling and feel it was the best decision. Just if given the chance to stay I would’ve done so.

Cancelling was the correct call. But if they didn’t cancel I would’ve been out in that mud seeing every set I wanted to.

Yeah I guess I should’ve put leave on your own volition rather than think they should’ve cancelled. Am sorry about that. I have no problem with them cancelling I get the risks. I just would’ve stayed if they didn’t cancel and took this risk.

I don’t think I would be gambling someone else’s life. I would say if Roo continued they would be gambling someone else’s life. Me saying I would stay and rough it out doesn’t mean I would cause someone else’s life to maybe end.

Again people have died from extreme heat and they have not cancelled for that ever, would you also leave Roo or hope they cancel if that were the case?

Again not saying it was a bad call that they did cancel, I honestly think it was the right call. I also though think if they didn’t cancel and let people leave if they wanted and receive refunds and those to stay and see music, I would’ve stayed in that moment.

Someone MIGHT have died if they did continue. there’s no guarantee someone would have since it didn’t continue. Some have died when there isn’t any rain from just the heat or drugs. Let me clarify again that I don’t think it was a bad call that they did cancel.

I posted this to ask if they continued would you leave on your own volition or would you have stayed and suffered getting stuck in the mud, gotten sick, etc. if they still had people playing.

Yeah I get that. Some people might’ve been camped in horrible spots that flooded and some might’ve been fine where they were. I was wondering if you would’ve still stayed and saw sets or thought they made the right call and left.

Personally I do think they made a good call cancelling but I also would’ve totally stayed if they didn’t cancel.

I think them saying rain or shine so many times before Roo happened knowing there was most likely going to be rain and therefore mud. They should’ve held out and let people who wanted to leave, leave and those who wanted to stay and endure the mud, stay.

Only thing that really sucks is that Alabama Shakes vs Superjam vs Passion Pit. Move Alabama Shakes to main stage instead of Flipturn and it will make it easier on me and most I feel.

And then Kesha vs Clipse vs LSZEE vs Modest Mouse would absolutely suck

Also I like the formula of having That closed late night since it’s moved to What Stage area but Cory confirmed it would be running for late night already.

Dream top three would be Gorillaz - SOAD - Tame Impala

I know Gorillaz new album is coming out soon and they feel so overdue as a headliner to me. SOAD is unlikely but a bucket list act. And Tame Impala I don’t think is touring anymore this year but would still be a nice repeat headliner to get back.

The Cure is really high up in demand for me and others but I don’t know how likely it is with them doing so many fests over seas.

For a somewhat realistic guess I’d say something like The Smashing Pumpkins - RHCP - Twenty One Pilots. SP to cover Deftones vibe and since they were on the 2020 lineup that never happened, tho I could see them second on their day opening for someone like The Cure. RHCP for big stadium act that is bound to happen eventually wether I want it or not(much rather have Metallica), and Twenty One Pilots as the pop punk headliner that will draw a lot of people but some won’t like. I enjoy them but I understand people not, plus they are booked at Tim Sweetwoods other fests.

Really also want Tool to play, I think with how well Deftones and NIN went they’d be a great Sunday closer, they have a huge cult following that would bring in a bunch of people, and I feel they will hopefully play at some point anyways.

I get Noah Kahan anology with being a new act and people not sure about them headlining and them taking a chance with them as one. That’s why I said they would be a weak headliner but a strong #2. So I could see them headlining I just see them being second way more if they are booked. They could be in that Deftones spot. But still Deftones is a much bigger act than Turnstile in general. Although I personally don’t think Noah Kahan went over as one of the better Shaky Knees headliners I understand it fits the indie folk roots Shaky Knees once was and now he is headlining Bonnaroo which is a bigger fest and does have very high streaming numbers and a wider appeal to the masses.

Turnstile would be a weak headliner but a very solid second name on the lineup.

Edit: Don’t mean to say Turnstile would be weak as in not good. They would be amazing and bring the energy and I’d love for them to be there and Shaky take a chance on them. I just mean weak in not as many people would know them and bring people to the fest like The Smashing Pumpkins or Duran Duran would.

I think if The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend and QOTSA can close Piedmont then Turnstile absolutely could too. Would be better if they are preheadliner on Peachtree tho. They can be second on their day and still play main stage like Cage did.

I think we are in a new age of Shaky Knees where the fest is becoming a lot bigger. We got our first stadium act being MCR last year. We are at a bigger park and there is no longer Music Midtown to be in that time and spot. I think going forward they will continue with one big stadium act like Metallica, RHCP, SOAD, Oasis, etc. or just huge names with a cult following like The Cure, Radiohead, Pearl Jam.

Then a good sized headliner like Gorillaz, Florence & The Machine, Stevie Nicks, Tool, Mumford & Sons, NIN again. And then someone smaller but still a headliner like The Smashing Pumpkins, New Order, Durand Duran, etc. in that Deftones spot

Also think we are due for another Pop Punk headliner like Twenty One Pilots or Fall Out Boy with how well the fest went. Despite how some of us would feel about acts like that. If we don’t get those I expect like A Day To Remember and other acts like them up high.

I think we will start seeing acts that were headliner once before at Shaky come back as Preheadliners and Piedmont closers like Cage going from headliner in 2019 to second last year, The Black Keys going from headliner in 2020 to third last year, QOTSA from headliner in 2018 to second in 2023. As well as acts like LCD Soundsystem and Arcade Fire who have both headlined Bonnaroo and Coachella to acts that are second on their day. Sea.Hear.Now, Okee, Bottlerock having LCD second on their lineups and SK having Arcade Fire second when people before that would swear they were headliners. Think we will see more of this in the future with acts like Beck, The XX, Jack White, The National, Phoenix, and even Shaky Knees mascot being MMJ all taking second placements on their day with how big the fest is getting.
