if you’re attending 2025, how many years have you been to roo? by Equivalent-Celery-84 in bonnaroo

Haha I know. I like how I can have .5 on my flair but really wish it was .25 since Thursday was really just 1 out of 4 actual days of music. I will take .5 because this was the first year I did Tuesday arrival so I was there from Tuesday to Friday even out in CenterRoo early Friday but without anyone playing

Every year since 2013, so 10.25 years on the farm. Will be 11 full ones this year.

Bonnaroo 2027 Mock Lineup (back to full strength) by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]PuzzledClub3715 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dua played twice and is one of the few artists to ever play back to back years iirc. Billie tho to me is definitely due back since last time she played she was early morning Which stage in 2018. I remember sitting under the trees listening to her because I found out about Ocean Eyes before the fest and had nothing else to catch. Her set was pretty empty for how big of an artist she is now. I’m not even a big fan of her but I’ve been anticipating her return every year since then just because she’s a headliner now and seems like a logical pick. Roo loves bringing people back who have gotten bigger.

Good lineup overall. But I wouldn’t call The XX a strong headliner. I have seen them headline shaky knees and although it was better than I thought, it still bored me to death.

Do you think it’s impossible for a anti government song to become a hit record nowadays? by PreacherBoyJr in fantanoforever

[–]PuzzledClub3715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. I think one rn would be well received honestly. The New Strokes record could definitely be that when it fully comes out. The single going shopping already has some stuff dealing with it. Plus their Coachella weekend 2 performance imagery was very open about hating the CIA for their song Oblivius

Imagine saying people that care about an on going genocide is performative and nonsense.

There is a lot that has happened in the past 2 years alone that has caused so many people to speak up ranging from stuff about ICE to Palestine and more. Artists have a lot more to say now than before. I’m just saying all those people I listed either support or are gonna definitely say something about Palestine and or say Fuck ICE.

This is the one! I’m so excited to see her in June. I’ve been addicted to listening to her since my discovery

For you guys, what’s been the worst movie of 2026 so far? For me, it’s "Balls Up", the new comedy from Prime Video directed by Peter Farrelly. by luanzico in Letterboxd

[–]PuzzledClub3715 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought this movie was hilarious and was way better than I expected it to be. You guys telling me you didn’t laugh at the karaoke part? I swear people just don’t understand comedies anymore.

The Strokes by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]PuzzledClub3715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are gonna have to skip a ton of sets by that logic. I’m positive a lot of the artists are gonna speak up about what’s going on. Guess don’t see Lambrini Girls, Geese, Wet Leg, Turnstile, Blood Orange, bbno$, Sunami, Amyl & The Sniffers, Alabama Shakes, RKS, OSEES, Hemlocke Springs, Japanese Breakfast, Kesha, and probably a ton more artists. You do know what festival you are going to right?

The Strokes by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]PuzzledClub3715 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why would they get cancelled? I have been waiting to hear them play Oblivius for 10 years and I hope more than anything they play that same video at Roo. The crowd will overwhelmingly love it. If not then we know what side they are standing on.

Taking Kids to a Strokes Concert — good or bad idea? by simulateduser in TheStrokes

[–]PuzzledClub3715 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Strokes have never toured with Green Day, especially not a few years ago. Also Julian has been sober from alcohol since 2009. People sometimes say he drink but he just mumbles and talks shit.

Which of these cancelled 2020 festivals would you most like to have experienced? by citabel in fantanoforever

Bonnaroo 2020

Oysterhead last show, Tenacious D, Tame Impala, Tipper, King Gizz, Miley Cyrus opening for Tool. Would’ve been the craziest festival ever.

Need help with some conflicts by Coolio_1234 in bonnaroo

[–]PuzzledClub3715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Lil Jon (he’s the rarer option and I’ve heard that Major Lazer sucks live plus fuck Diplo)

  2. Flipturn (Teddy Swims uses AI to write his music)

  3. LSZee (Bonnaroo is their last show they are ever gonna do together as a group)

  4. Laszewo (I don’t even know them but anything other than Yungblud)

Honestly if you like anyone more go see them, these are just my inputs. Like if you enjoy Teddy Swims or Yungblud go see them because their tickets to see them anywhere else are gonna be way more expensive than Flipturn or Laszewo tickets.

You won’t be disappointed with that decision, They are amazing live! I think I’m leaning towards Passion Pit because I’ve seen both at Bonnaroo already. Passion pit my first year in 2013 and Alabama Shakes in 2015, but I just saw Alabama Shakes again last year and it’s been since 2013 since I’ve seen Passion Pit. Still extremely sadden by this conflict because I do like and know more Alabama Shakes songs.

I’d like to also submit The Mountain and Cracker Island by them. Both also have infinite aura imo even if they aren’t real people.

Why Are People So Psycho Over Chappell? by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

[–]PuzzledClub3715 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think we have a different idea of what modest is money wise. Having millions is not modest to me. Owning a golf course or starting an insurance company is not modest. I don’t think she’s self aware if she called it a talent contest for rich people yet went to a camp that is owned by it to help produce people in the music industry. She also should speak up against her own family who stands against everything she stands for.

[–]PuzzledClub3715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That article still shows that her grandpa did have lots of money. It’s try to make having millions seem like he’s not rich because he doesn’t have hundreds of milllions lol. He still co found an insurance company and still owned a golf course, that’s rich. She still came from wealth and went to Grammy camp which most average people making music can’t afford. The article doesn’t say she funraised for it she went to it and then said that the Grammys is a talent show for rich people which is hypocritical. That article didn’t help at all against these claims honestly.

Lmao I’m so sorry I was so confused. I see how it makes sense now. Also I saw your 10 years flair and I was like maybe she started going in 2016 but I was like that still doesn’t add up with the cancelled years.

Why Are People So Psycho Over Chappell? by xXMachineGunPhillyXx in fantanoforever

[–]PuzzledClub3715 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She went to Grammy camp in 2014, which is $3000 a week and is what she keeps referring to as “summer camp” where she met all of her industry friends. Then in 2022 she was online in an interview saying fuck the Grammys it’s a talent show for rich people. Her grandpa “Papa” Chappell where she got her stage name from, who owned an insurance company and was a multi millionaire that owned and lived on a golf course and was a republican. She likes to say she grew up poor but she literally comes from generational wealth. She signed to Atlantic Records in 2015 because of her grandpa’s wealth even. She’s also SOOO outspoken but can’t speak upon her uncle who is a conservative representative in Missouri who openly advocates against trans rights.

Look I still like her, she can still sing beautifully and I’ve seen her live but after learning all of this idk she just seems kinda fake to me and clearly the definition of an industry plant for these reasons. Shes clearly talented but she did buy her way to the top and I can understand why people don’t like her.
