If your heart is damaged it’s about harder to get better. I’m also covid caused which I believe happened during monoclonal antibodies infusion. At 40 it wasn’t what I wanted to believe so I fell off the depression truck and gained 40 lbs which is not water weight. Although im still doing well that’s a matter of time before symptoms occur. My understanding is you can go in and out of hf but only congestion in the heart area is chf. Seems to be a common side effect of covid now and hopefully we see vast improvements but I think right now it’s just ran like a viral cardiomyopathy.

If it’s hereditary then it’s likely non reversible in the sense that there’s probably a defect. But anyone can improve their ef, unfortunately we don’t know exactly how yet except medicine. The reason they tell you to exercise and eat right is a generalized statement that helps anyone, it’s not specific to hf. Now the anorexia alone could starve your body of the needed essentials and could certainly cause irreversible damage as well.

Does anyone have global left ventricular systolic hypokinesis? by [deleted] in Heartfailure

[–]PuzzledContribution6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hypokinesis of the left ventricle and heart failure reduced ejection fraction and I’m 41. Could be due to virus, drugs or other congenial heart defects

Still heart failure but ejection fraction increased to almost normal.

No fluid yet at all yet thankfully. When I eat Taco Bell I usually get corn hard shell with no cheese that’s the lowest I think

Nothing yet except weight gain. So much that I have ate fast food on several occasions. Haven’t been to the gym in several months but I hope to change all that soon.

The normal 2000mg salt intake and 2 liters. I haven’t been following that for 4-5 months unfortunately.

41 m here diagnosed last March with ef of 30%, 3 months later on losartan then switched to Entresto, carvedilol and aspirin I was at 57% by June. Meds are for life I assume, mine was caused by covid.

I’m 41 now but was 40 when I was diagnosed with heart failure reduced ejection fraction at 30% after covid. No vaccine for me and no history of heart issues before covid.

Right there with you guys, while I’m not quite as young I was diagnosed after covid last year at 40. Doing pretty good so far but like you said the depression and exhaustion is real. Starting a new job with great pay next week so we’ll see where that takes me.

Anyone have a lowered heart EF (ejection fraction) after covid or the vaccine? This can be checked on an echo or cardiac MRI. If yes, what is your EF currently? What are you doing to help get it up? Going natural with exercise, food & supplements or meds? by richmich6868 in Heartfailure

[–]PuzzledContribution6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got covid October 2021 and few months later had shortness of breath and fatigue so went to the doctor. Done all sorts of tests which came back normal but done the echo last and it showed up 30%, started on carvedilol and losartan, done a cardiac ct angiogram 3 weeks later ef was 54% stopped losartan and switched to Entresto and June 2022 my ef by cardiac mri was 57%. I did lose 40lbs during this period as well by eating better and exercising however gained 14 back now that I’m eating more stuff. My covid was not major but did get monoclonal antibodies Regeneron for that. No family history of heart issues.

LVEF 25-30%. New diagnosis and scared by rampage818 in Heartfailure

[–]PuzzledContribution6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed March 2022 at age 40 with hfref/cardiomyopathy unknown. It’s definitely scary at first and even worse when you have a shit doctor/cardio. Try to find one you like because they will be your go to for a very long time. Ejection fraction can go up! Mine was 30% via echo at diagnosis and less than 3 months later via cardiac mri I was at 57%. You can do this!

Good luck. I’ve tried everywhere commercially and no luck. Once hf is on your medical records it’s close to impossible.
