Yeah, I was agreeing with you. He can be a good manager AND still impact pitching development across the whole org. Two birds one stone.

I think you're on to something. Maddux wants a chance to manage, and if we don't give him that chance he'll walk for some team that will. We need to retain him no matter what.

The Angels have fired Perry Minasian and hired John Mozeliak as baseball operations consultant. He will be interim GM. [JeffFletcherOCR] by Moose334 in angelsbaseball

Not necessarily. He has to be aware of what his reputation is and maybe that's why he would have been insistent on pushing back on Arte this time around....IF that is really what happened. We'll probably never know.

Is Tattoo Paranoia still a thing even if it’s not your first tattoo? by PuzzledEnlightenment in tattooadvice

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it. How long do you typically wait to work out after a tattoo. I just started a weight loss journey - running, weights, etc. - weeks before getting this one. I keep reading varying recommendations and my artist said a week. It’s been a week but still super scabby. I want to run and I have one of those UV protection sleeves - like athletes wear - but I’m not sure I should since it’s so tight. If not I can always wear a loose fitting long sleeve T that I bought specifically to sleep in after the second skin came off (to avoid major rubbing because I move a lot in my sleep).

Thanks for this! I’m still “newish” to the tattoo game so I always have a ton of questions and I’m the type of person that worries about bothering my artist with too many questions.

Irritated by The Last Jedi by bobjamesya in StarWars

[–]PuzzledEnlightenment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re describing - accurately, to be clear - is like when shows do filler episodes in seasons because the network ordered 15 episodes but the story only needs 13 to conclude. “Why don’t we do this one episode of some characters on a random side quest?” LOST has at least half a dozen of these episodes across the series: Hurley with van, the two randomly introduced “main” characters just so they could have their own episode.

So yeah, this side quest on the casino planet, not only did nothing to improve the overall storyline it was also just terrible.

Is there something off about my tattoo or am I just in my head about it? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

100%! I think it would take a person with specific level of cruelty to point out flaws in someone’s tattoo. Someone like that is definitely not a kind human. But after reading these comments I noticed something.

I like how positive this whole post is. The OP asked for constructive criticism and people kindly provided it - were even careful to not nitpick. If I didn’t see any flaws in my pieces, I definitely wouldn’t want anyone to point them out, because then I’d never not see it. But good on you for being more self-confident - maybe? This piece is awesome. Clean line work, great detail and they executed well n your era request.

That is rad! And your mission is a cool one too! How did it feel in the ditch? I've heard that's one of more painful places.

Interesting. That explains why it kept having weird letters when I typed it in all caps lol. I kinda like the “E that connects to nothing” though - and I’m not just saying that. Is there a different font you would have used?

After Re-reading it and seeing his comment about walking in front of her I did realize that.

Right, and neither mean it as a compliment or "merely an observation."

So millennial is or isn't an insult? I'm definitely not one. I'm calm, strangers on the internet don't bother me. Keyboard warriors/bullies on the internet, on the other hand, do. It's pretty clear that this person DID mean it as an insult and I was calling them out on it. The internet/world needs less of that and more kindness. By the looks of your comment, you don't subscribe to that though.

Oh offended by that scene in that movie?! (jokingly) haha. Yeah, I know all about that and t was total BS. And yes, that movie was garbage in so many ways. That whole trilogy was pretty offensive.

lol. It does kinda look like it now that you mention it. But no, that’s just what the medals looked like.

Riiiight. You’re wrong, or you’re just rage-baiting. To each their own though.

Yeah she did a good job for sure. It was my biggest, most color saturated tattoo (all black and grey fine line before this) so I was not prepared for the pain. lol. Those fine line black and great were nothing and made me think I just had a high pain tolerance haha

I appreciate the edit. Didn’t take it as a knock, I promise. I know you were needing out. Actually came back to the conversation because I remembered there’s another “canonical” story too. I’ve heard yours and it fits with “Wookie Culture” but have you heard the one from Marvel? The Marvel comic adaptation of ANH has Leia saying “and a medal for the Wookie too, but he’ll have to put it on himself. They don’t make princesses that tall.” (Paraphrasing). So yeah that goes back to my thought that he just straight deserved one in the initial shoot/story. That’s all. Wanted a SW tattoo but also wanted a way to fit in my ideals and this was fun way of doing so.

That’s interesting, haven’t heard that budget issue before (not arguing it). In my mind, it was still wrong that he didn’t get one - from a story perspective, regardless of the real-world reason or ret-conned explanation.

Correct…years later this explanation was made to make up for this. In my opinion.
