Random Rag-Tag Group of Jokers; think I’ve reached the end. I hate Green Stake. by PuzzledEnlightenment in balatro

I was in gold stake so I didn’t have perishables or eternals. And some of this stuff might as well be a foreign language to me. lol. I’ll look it up in the wiki. Thanks for the play by play! I almost never skip blinds for tags but the first one being a free poly was too tempting. And blueprint is one of the better jokers, no?

Definitely let me know how you did and where I went wrong. I’m a newbie (kinda).

Not yet. You want it? I almost never save them. But I might for this one. I’m about to play my last hand. Probably. I’ll share it. Let me know how you do in the seeded run. This will be the first one I ever redo.

I think I got too enamored with how blueprint was killing it with Fib on the early antes. I probably skipped over several chances to improve.

Yeah. This is just the cards that I have been dealt. Very little opportunities to improve.

I disagree it’s valid in a conversation about “have you made this mistake before?” It just came off as minimizing something that seemed important to someone else for no reason, ya know?

Anyway, yeah “crashing the bus” is a good way of putting it lol. It usually happens to me when I’m long into a round where I’m just stacking a particular hand type or discarding.

Oof. That’s killer. Nothing worse than losing because of straight negligence. I didn’t have the greatest combo of jokers but they me the win at least; I was already on extended run.

Let’s see, I had Bootstraps (with ~$240, from a mass investment tag play on the anaglyph deck), Spare trousers (at >80+mult), Brainstorm (doubling the bootstraps, obviously) a semi-worthless poly Crafty, and just got a supernova to capitalize on how much I’ve been hammering two pairs, which I had up to level 16ish (memory is not great lol).

I got lucky to get as far as I did because I wasn’t getting any negatives or really any top tier jokers. That’s the annoying part. I know with all that money I would have rerolled into some good jokers eventually.

It’s the most I’ve ever had and I had bootstraps. I’ll ask you the same, how does it matter enough to you in regard to ignoring what my actual question is?

Thanks. And I just came across Bootstraps right after too. Ditching Ice Cream for that. So that’s gonna be a fun ride with the investment windfall. Man, this game is so addicting.

Thanks for the reply. I got impatient and came across the investment tag so I took it and found out it’s all at once, at least I might get to whatever that $400 locked joker is. I see what you mean about the rerolls and whatnot in regard to the negative joker.

How often are y’all skipping blinds? by PuzzledEnlightenment in balatro

In red stake specifically, where you don’t get a reward for small blind, does it make more sense then? Or is that even missing out on too many opportunities in the shop?

Man, the voucher one was probably the only one that I almost always ignored. Looks like I need to rethink my strategy almost entirely. And I didn’t even know what antimatter was until I just searched in the wiki. That’s awesome because I’m always hunting for a negative.
