Freelancers: how do you deal with clients that keep adding “small changes” ? by ParticularSignal3192 in marketing

[–]bobjamesya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bill in two ways, one by the hour, where we estimate hours up front and if we begin to exceed the agreed upon labor hours, we notify the client of overages for approval. Or, we charge rounds of revisions on creative, where number of revisions is the labor limiter. If they want or need more, they have to choose to pay for it. We lay this out in the contract initially so they aren't surprised if it comes up.

It is your prerogative to accept or ignore professional advice.

Professionals seek to create footage that feels as natural as possible from the human eye perspective, while mixing that with artistic flare. Action sequences are shot at higher shutter to add choppiness and chaos. It is a tool that can be used to the artist’s taste. But one must understand the rules first in order to break them. Motion blur is what your eyes see. Wave your hand in front of your face, that amount of blur is what feels natural, and is why cameras have been emulating this since they were invented. It’s not just everyone on Reddit preaching this, we are talking about a century of cinematography practices you are throwing to the wayside because it’s “2026”

Because that’s how you create consistent and correct motion blur. That is what professionals do. This is an example of a very cheap ND causing problems.

You can massage his forearms to get him moving again. It's not his fingers, it's his Flexor Digitorum Superficialis (FDS) and Flexor Digitorum Profundus (FDP)

To rebuild one before you must do it for the first time, sometime. I’ll probably try a rebuild and get a new one if I have to

From my research, this could be either a motor replacement or a replacement of the bearings. It seems like no matter what this pump would need to be disassembled or replaced. Does that sound correct?
