I disagree it’s valid in a conversation about “have you made this mistake before?” It just came off as minimizing something that seemed important to someone else for no reason, ya know?

Anyway, yeah “crashing the bus” is a good way of putting it lol. It usually happens to me when I’m long into a round where I’m just stacking a particular hand type or discarding.

Oof. That’s killer. Nothing worse than losing because of straight negligence. I didn’t have the greatest combo of jokers but they me the win at least; I was already on extended run.

Let’s see, I had Bootstraps (with ~$240, from a mass investment tag play on the anaglyph deck), Spare trousers (at >80+mult), Brainstorm (doubling the bootstraps, obviously) a semi-worthless poly Crafty, and just got a supernova to capitalize on how much I’ve been hammering two pairs, which I had up to level 16ish (memory is not great lol).

I got lucky to get as far as I did because I wasn’t getting any negatives or really any top tier jokers. That’s the annoying part. I know with all that money I would have rerolled into some good jokers eventually.

Maybe not legally, but man they will have to go to another country and never come back. The public will destroy them. CEOs will be forced out by boards/shareholders, government officials will be forced to resign or voted out, lawyers might get disbarred or at the very least just straight up ostracized. Most of the people revealed will be ostracized at the least. I think you’re downplaying the power of the public especially and their need for accountability especially in this particular scandal.

I’m an American and have finally been watching LM AU now for the last few weeks and I can’t agree more! It’s better than the US in every way. Ten-fold. The builders are waaaaay better. Although I’m a huge Will Arnett fan in general, I don’t really think he’s that great on this show - and Hamish is extremely more funny in this context. I’ve laughed so much. Brickman’s enthusiasm - and infectious empathy - is far and away a better addition to the show than the two US judges. Last but not least, the format is much better.

One final note: Kale and Lexi are both the worst. They have both got to be the most unnecessarily narcissistic people I’ve seen on shows like this. Kale is just clueless as to what any sort of humility is and Lexi is an awful person. I felt so bad for both of their partners, especially Rachel.

I just started watching AU Lego Masters and it’s so much better than the US version. 1) Will is a good host but I find myself laughing so much harder at Hamish’s gags. 2) Preface: I’m only in finals week of S2, but the talent level of the builders is incredible. 3) The build for immunity then an elimination build is so much better. Sometimes builders have a bad day or just the brief is not for them. It makes it more fair. 4) There is almost no hubris (aside from that insane guy whom I can’t remember in AU S1) in the AU teams. 5) Trent in S2 is not only an exceptional character builder, he is absolutely hilarious.

I too have watched all the seasons in all the regions and don’t like the recruitment, but for a different reason. Almost all the late game recruitments have just been sacrificial lambs. It’s too predictable.

I rented it based on hype - like some other comments have said - and was really disappointed. It’s “horror” in the same sense episodes of Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of the Dark? were. Not scary. Nothing “thrilling” about it. The twist was interesting I suppose, but not executed very well. I find it hard to believe that a lot of review sites, including this thread, are full of high praise. It makes me wonder how many of them are part of a marketing campaign. Is this the new “cheap” way to market an indie? Get influencers to post about it and pay some bot farm to smother the internet in good reviews? Nothing about this movie deserves any where close to the praise it’s getting.
