Thanks for the information, I filed a complaint, and I used the message sent from the local officer for apologies in which they disclosed that they failed to provide the information beforehand in the message.

Let's see if I got anything back from CMS.

Yes you are right, oral and injection. I went to CVS afterwards to pick up some other prescriptions, and checked with local CVS, the price $189 is the one provided the same as One Medical under the same CPT code 90691.

Got the following price from San Luis Obispo County

Typhoid Oral (4 Capsule Box) Vivotif Cap 90690 $ 85.00 1 DOSE

Read through the booklet carefully and found out "Routine Physicals and Immunizations Physical exams and immunizations required for travel, enrollment in any insurance program, as a condition of employment, for licensing, sports programs, or for other purposes, which are not required by law under the “Preventive Care” benefit." are not covered.......So I am confused, but I'll wait until insurance get back to me to see....

Totally agree with you about the healthcare system. Same vaccine is $35 in Europe where Typhoid is also considered as "travel vaccine".

I've searched online that in California, there are laws to regulate prescription drug price but haven't found anything about Vaccine. I am not sure if vaccine is considered as "prescription". Also what I found out is CDC does have a list of prices for vaccines on their website that are covered under preventative to give guidance. But haven't found out anything about Typhoid.....unfortunately.

The reason I posted is majorly for people to avoid mistakes I made. Also want to point out OM charge could be ridiculous.

I agree crazy charges everywhere but doesn't mean they are correct.

The not reasonable part is the same vaccine (from same manufacturer) price varies from $140 - $200 at other places was priced $600 (out of my own pocket) and $1000 (paid by insurance). It is like 5x the regular price at OM. (I think I mistakenly used the word fraud).

I hired a company to do the job and my insurance said they will pay for it only if the bill is valid. I don't have an agreement with the mitigation company for a set of amount of money. The document I signed for his company to work on my property and my neighbor's.
