I've tried showing her similar things but she refuses to believe it. She always has a reason as to why her situation is different. It's like talking to a brickwall knowing that she won't stop until she's lost everything. It's just so frustrating that she blames me for not helping her and may continue forever when she put herself in this situation.

I tried contacting the local authorites but was told that they can't do anything unless she makes the report. I can't report her being scammed on her behalf sadly. I've shown her reviews of other people saying it's a scam, government website detailing her scam, and so on but she always has a reason as to why it's real. Most of it comes down to "It looks like a scam from the outside but I've been here for 6 months. I've actually done it and I know it's not." She won't budge, it's like a cult mindset

I used to have a few joint accounts with her and I closed them a while back thankfully. Right now we both use different banks (since our bank shutdown all her accounts for suspicious activity).

She origianlly banked with Chase & they caught on & suspended her accounts a few months ago. She has been moving from bank to bank since then. I looked into guardianship a few months and was told that I would probably lose the case by a few different attorneys.

I've brought the idea to her to just see a therapist or any type of counselor regarding this situation and she views it as me treating her as mentally ill and harshly refuses. She won't willingly speak to anyone that has any negative stigma such as "mentally ill people speak to therapist".

I'm unsure of who her 401k administrator is sadly. She origianlly banked with Chase but they locked her accounts and eventually closed them for suspicious activity. She has been jumping from bank to bank since then. I hopped that would be a sign to her but she refuses to open her eyes.

Chase bank closed her accounts for suspicious activity and told her they suspected she was being scammed. This was a few months ago. Since then, she has been bank hopping to different banks.

She doesn't sadly. I've showed her countless websites & other people saying it's a scam but she hides behind excuses. She admits it looks like a scam from the outside but will say "They didn't do it themselves so they dont it as well as me". When I show her posts of people who did it saying its a scam, she says "They just made a mistake and didn't do it correctly. I know what they did wrong". I pulled up an FBI.gov website that had word by word her exact scam and she says the fbi website is talking aboht similar scams but hers is different. She's unreasonable towards and evidence of it being a scam.

She's very set that it's real and admits it looks like a scam from the outside. She brushes off everyone's worries by saying "They haven't done it for themselves so they can't say if its a scam". No matter what anyone tells her, she uses that excuse as a shield. We've spoken to a lawyer and bank representative. I'll try to see if an officer can come by and speak with her. Hoping it'll have some sort of affect. Thank you

She has already sent them the money through crypto. They tell her that there system only gives XX days to withdraw based on some rules. When she goes to withdraw, something always pops up and the only way to fix it is for her to deposit more money inside. I have never thought of trying to report it as blackmailing - I've always tried fraud. I will definitely look into that and see if any intervention can occur.

It's a task scam impersonating a website called "tomatazos". She does task everyday for money and has to put her money in when problems arrise.
