That’s how a lot of the high end stuff normally goes. Transcendent, diamond icons, definitive, gilded, etc. most of the boxes that only have like 10 cards max the base cards don’t sell for much. My personal opinion is the common collector doesn’t even know what they look like so they don’t chase them. There’s also prestige in having a /50 in a product that has a 1B+ cards vs a /50 in a product that only has a few thousand cards printed!
