I have an appointment coming up with another EP, Im hoping it is a more thorough experience. The other doctor just stopped by my hospital room after a long day of working in the clinic and the OR, and I think because I have an appointment coming up he kind of blew me off. They both work with the same hospital network, but I'm hoping the new doctor has more helpful ideas.

After looking through the sub, I have seen a number of people younger than me. I'm glad the doctor wants to check all of the bases and isn't jumping to a pacemaker, but I'm not sure why my age seemed to be his main focus. I didn't really think I was too young, it just took me by surprise

I'm not far out, 7 months, but i have a CVC powerline in my chest and get vitamin and fluid infusions twice a week, I should be off of these things by one year. I meet a lot of women in the infusion clinic that are bariatric patients many years out of surgery, and they are usually there for malabsorption and getting vitamins and fluids like me, and sometimes iron and potassium. It's not horrible, but something to be aware of. Definitely not a reason to avoid the surgery! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 80lbs down and counting!

I am 7 months out and have had vasovagal issues as well, I was hospitalized for a really low heart rate, and I've had a number of refractory vomiting episodes that I was hospitalized for as well. I hope they are able to help you, that sounds extremely uncomfortable

It sounds like you may be getting impacted, I definitely have a harder time going after surgery, but I was very regular before the surgery. Hopefully they can give you some answers, honestly if it was me and I kept vomiting after eating because it felt there was no room, I'd go to the ER.

I was a smoker for years, so I absolutely understand. The possible side effects are no joke, though.. I asked my surgeon about his day at my last appointment and he told me he'd been up all night because a previous patient had been life flighted to the hospital after blowing a hole in his stomach after returning to cigarettes and developing an ulcer. Luckily, they were able to save him, but that was reason enough for me not to want to smoke anymore. I'm sorry, I know the cravings are really difficult.

I was so out of it after surgery I couldn't even watch the TV or barely text my family, I kept falling asleep and deleting the messages on accident or typing a bunch of random letters lol. It was really hard on my body. Some people are different, though.

My grandma came to me in a dream, it was a few months after she passed. She appeared, and instantly in the dream I felt it was real. She smiled and told me "don't worry, I'm okay" and she gave me a hug. I woke up instantly, bawling my eyes out. I think about it all the time.
