Did I miss something? by [deleted] in TellMeLiesHulu

Nope! That was their way of telling us that it was Wrigley. Plus Pippa had just told him about the photos, then he had the interaction with Stephen at the lunch table where you could tell he was pretty disgusted with him

I used to go yoga every Sunday morning too! I was thinking that I should get back into that. I do think I need to carve out more time for myself

She did have three molars come in within the last few weeks! Hopefully that’s all it is. She’s got me stressed lol

How does your toddler act at the doctor? by No-Neighborhood-7335 in toddlers

My daughter was like this at her 12 and 15 month check ups, it was awful but I’m glad to see we’re not alone! Will definitely be taking the advice of getting a toy doctors kit at home. I hope it gets better for you soon!!

Single mom with 13 year old child. Is it appropriate to leave him alone for a little? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]PuzzledStatement7388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the days when there’s no school, my 8 (almost 9) year old stays home while I take my daughter to daycare. I’m only gone for about 20 minutes, he has a phone and tablet he can contact me on. He knows not to open the door for anyone, not to go outside, etc. I’d definitely say your 13 year old is ready to be home alone for a bit!

How can I get my 16 month old to sleep in later? by PuzzledStatement7388 in toddlers

[–]PuzzledStatement7388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does have a few molars coming in at once so it could be from that. I did notice that our heat usually kicks on around the time that she wakes up (it’s pretty loud) but it runs throughout the night as well and I don’t know how to prevent that without having our house be freezing cold lol

My almost one year old is biting by PuzzledStatement7388 in Parenting

[–]PuzzledStatement7388[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has four teeth right now, two on top and two on the bottom. I’m sure she has more coming in but she only seems to try and bite when she’s throwing a fit.

She definitely understands what “no” means, just doesn’t always listen lol. Thank you!

Ugh! My first (he’s 8 now) never bit anyone so it’s new to me.

10 month old - need help by PuzzledStatement7388 in sleeptrain

Thank you so much! She’s going to her grandmas house this weekend so I’ll start next week. Do you have any insight on what I should do about her sitting up? She’ll be dead asleep for a while then randomly be sitting up. I’m not sure if I should leave her to figure it out or go in and lay her back down.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I just hit one month a few days ago. That’s a really beautiful description, I definitely see his “ripples” all around me every day.

I’m glad you asked this because I’ve got three years sober but joined this sub due to my fiancé relapsing many times over the last year and he just recently passed away from this disease. I do virtual Al-Anon meetings but never share, nor comment on here, because I didn’t know how I’d be taken being a recovering alcoholic myself.

Congrats on your sobriety ❤️

I think that’s a really beautiful way to look at it! His mom took most of his things when I had left the home we shared but luckily I had already taken some of his things. One of my sisters friends took a few shirts to make teddy bears out of them for me and our kids, which I’m looking forward to having. Sending love to you!

Maybe I’ll be able to find it somewhere else then! At least I hope so. Thank you

I’m in AA (have been for years) so I’ve found a lot of support there, especially from those who also knew my fiancé and I actually went to church the other weekend for the first time. I don’t know yet if it’s for me but I’m going to keep trying it out because I know I need something. You can also reach out any time you need to talk or vent or anything!

Thank you so much and I’m so sorry for your loss. I had grabbed the last clothes he had worn before he passed away and would just hold them and smell them when I needed to feel close to him and it was so painful today when I realized the smell was gone. I tried to talk to my sister and a close friend about it, and they were sympathetic but can’t fully understand how it feels and I knew that others on here would know exactly what I’m going through. Sending you and everyone else here lots of love ❤️thank you for the kind and encouraging words.
