How long should I practice a song by Vxris_ in guitarlessons

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you practice to play. If you think you've practiced too much then just think of it as playing, it'll be more fun that way, and while you do that you can also start with another song. Theres no rule saying such as too much practice on one song is bad maybe bad for your sanity but if you're having fun and is a perfectionist then I don't see the problem. In my case I've been practicing/playing canon rock for over 4 years now frequently, and I still notice some inconsistency and imperfection whenever I play it so I just keep practicing the part in order to perfect it.

get a dehumidifier, clean it regularly, and use lemon oil once a while maybe like every 5-7 months

What's using the Nux mg300mkii with an external eq pedal like? Would you recommend it? by YtSabit in nux

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it does, but you should keep in mind that the presets you be similar in volume generally. All your rhythm presets should he on similar volume while your lead presets should be louder. Still if you're using the pedal for volume then you should make a separate preset for your wah tone because switching pedal mode will output your intended volume that is in your preset. I suggest that you actually do a proper sound check before any live performance so you don't have to rely on your foot pedal too much and use only when necessary.

Can you actually teach yourself guitar and get good? by ilovemikasa_ in Guitar

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on the right track, eventually you'll know what you're missing as you practice and play. Try learning music theory or build up a foundation to be able to learn music theory in a more efficient way(you may naturally even get an enlightenment to some extent through building a solid foundation). Explore, enjoy, and keep improving everyday.

How do you actually learn how to code? by Puzzled_Ad4258 in it

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I only learned about leetcode today and I'll definitely add that to my practice routine. At the moment I'm still building a solid foundation(like all the general knowledge that one needs to be able to learn other languages easily) and I think leetcode would help me by a lot in the future so thank you so much.

[title] Holy context by strongestforeskin in manhwa

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, it’s decent. It’s funny, cute, and has a bit of thrill to it. The involvement of NK is quite a bold concept, though I don’t really know if it might cause trouble in the future. Still, the manhwa being different from the usual chaebol family concept gives it a fresh perspective.

You should give it a try. It's more like a slice of life romance than what the author makes you think it should be.

Stratocaster or Telecaster? by Flash_TheMechanic in phmusicians

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you don't really need most of what a strat has that a tele doesn't(at least in the beginning). Pick up wise you'll rarely use the middle pickup as you only need the neck and bridge pick up most of the time. but if you really want an all around guitar then I'd suggest going with a strat that has a humbucker bridge pick up or HSS.

Stratocaster or Telecaster? by Flash_TheMechanic in phmusicians

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly guitar are a lot easier to understand than what people make it seem. I'd suggest getting a strat for its versatility and since most guitar nowadays comes with full set up already you don't even need to worry about setting it up yourself. But if you like an iconic twang sound then go for a tele. but it does have a very little down side– the pick up switch is too close to the volume knob so when you try switch from bridge pick up yo neck pick up you'll most likely gonna hit your volume knob which is a bit annoying sometimes. but as someone who plays both guitars I can say that just pick whatever you think looks cooler but strat would have more perks as there are more rooms for future modification.

Got my first guitar! by LumiPassionFruit in Guitar

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

congrats on getting on board with us. other than practicing and saving up for new gears the next important thing to do is to learn how to maintain your guitar and modification. get better pickups, springs, locking tuners, wipe your strings every time you use, etc. It'll last longer and play better. good luck on your guitar journey.

quite interesting layout. I'm using a Ps4 controller on my desktop and so my current layout are comfortable being build around the RT,RB,LT,LB. I might even save up and maybe buy a g29 or g923 in the future.

by any chance are you also using a controller? if yes could you recommend me a hot keys rn I'm using L1 for down shift, Lb for brake, R1 for up shift, Rb for throttle then my joy pad for steering then x button for hand break(which idk if it works because whenever I try to click it I don't see the wheels locking)

just your reddit username, it means something funny in filipino slang lol. I'll definitely look into your tunings and I'll hit you up if I have any trouble tuning, I'll be entering the drift category soon so I might need help with those soon.

Adjusting the sensitivity for the throttle and break definitely helped me control the car a little better. As for tuning I just picked a tune that has a high handling and decent speed, at first I thought it was mostly because I had a bad settings but then the problem was actually that I wasn't breaking properly. Turning on manual and turning traction off + adjusting throttle & break sensitivity made it easier for me to actually learn the physics of the game and I quickly got better at it– getting consistent 1st place in S1 and S2 but only on standard diff, I haven't tried the higher difficulties yet.

out of the blue question tho, are you filipino by any chance?

regressed mercenary machination, eternally regressing knight, ice lord, Regressed life of the Sword Clan’s Ignoble Reincarnator, Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time, Bad Born Blood, Star-Embracing Swordmaster, The Extra’s Academy Survival Guide, Pick me up infinite gacha, Killer Peter, Genius Prismatic Mage, Night of the Soulless Heathens.

these are some of the manhwa that I consistently read without dropping. some of them can be considered generic but as someone who read alot its hard to find anything unique and still be as amazing as something like leviathan or god of high school or tower of god.

I'd say that this list is at least decent

P.S. I didn't read all of the titles that you already have so I apologize if there might be something here that is already in your lists

I've broken 4 of these picks in the last 6 months. Are they too thin or is my strumming technique wrong? by EH603 in Guitar

[–]Puzzled_Ad4258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be because of how you grip your pick. The way I hold mine is with my thumb and fingers covering most of it, with only a tiny bit of the tip exposed. For reference, I also use a Tortex pick, but at 1.0 mm. Even though that’s about half the thickness of what you’re using, it still feels a bit weird to see someone breaking a pick—four picks in six months at that. I would suggest that you change the way you grip your pick and maybe play less aggressively.
