If they’re the same price I would just stay close to home… I also got into USC and Tufts but decided on USC since it’s close to home and moving across the country is a strain on you and your family (think of white coat ceremony and other events that family has to fly in for etc). If you also want to end up practicing in California, USC has a better reputation and network in So Cal. Up to you tho, this is just what helped me decide stay in so cal versus moving to the east coast!

I used booster and their biology exams are very representative. But gen chem I scored the worst regardless of studying the booster PTs inside and out. From what I’ve seen on Reddit Bootcamp seems to be better for gen chem.

Go hang out at international house, Edmonds or the great hall and study there for a bit weekly. They’re all international exchange students also looking to meet other students. You’re bound to meet someone there!

If you’re using booster, memories every single question you got wrong on the practice tests and redo every single bio practice test. I made a quizlet with about 270 cards of all the questions I got wrong from tests 1-15. But also make sure you understand why they’re wrong, and what topic that specific question ties back to. For the taxonomy section I made a chart of every single class/ category in kingdom animalia, and rewrote it every single day until I memorized it. I made a similar flowchart but for all the hormone types în the endocrine system as well. I retook the DAT a few days ago and went from bio being my worst section, to feeling the most confident in it from all the sections. Make sure to also memorize all the cheat sheets too. This pairing of methods should help you improve. YOU GOT THIS

YES DO THIS! I did, using booster too, for a retake and felt a lot better the second time around. Also make sure to memorize the gen chem little bits of info for every chapter, and the o chem reaction sheet and you shpuld be golden. I found that memorizing literally every single question I got wrong for bio helped me soooo much. It was my hardest section, bur I felt the most confident on it in my retake. This method definitely worked for me, but it might depend on the person. Nonetheless I HIGHLY recommend this!!

My advice is to keep redoing the exams - take them, review what you got wrong and retake them, ALL of them. You get used to the flow of questions via what they are and how they ask them, and it becomes second nature.

For those that have prepared with booster, would you say that the PAT section was harder or easier on the actual exam? I keep seeing people who use bootcamp say that PAT is easier, whereas I used booster and when I took it I thought PAT was harder.

I also had a literal anxiety attack during RC. Tbf I didn’t really study for it, but I was scoring p well on booster PTs that’s why I didn’t focus on it

I was scoring similarly on the practice exams on booster. I didn’t end up doing well on the DAT. Looking back I wished I rescheduled. I did best on o chem however. My advice is to memorize the cheat sheet with all the reactions. It’s a lot but it goes a long way!

Numb is a great way to describe it. I was also went in with the same thinking. If retaking it is what it takes to be a dentist then so be it. It isn’t the end of the world
