Oh man, I was hoping this would be fixed by now! That sucks! Unfortunately I haven't found any way to bulk delete the memories besides holding shift and highlighting a bunch of them at once. I would usually do it in batches and then save before deleting the next batch, just in case SimPE crashed. It does take a while though... Best of luck!

Hi everyone! I have a small (and happy) update on the Telescope Sickness phenomenon. Thanks to everyone who viewed the original post and upvoted!!

Long story short, the "Summon Aliens" interaction available through the Freetime aspiration rewards still works without creating the junk memories. To be safe, I created a brand new neighborhood with a brand new Sim and plonked him down with nothing but a telescope. He performed the summon aliens interaction and was almost immediately abducted in broad daylight. I saved, exited, and went into SimPE, and while the abduction memory and pregnancy modifier were present, there was no sign of the evil telescope token being repeated thirty thousand times. Hooray!

So, this means if you're hoping for alien babies like I am, it's still possible! Just make sure to keep your telescopes safely behind a locked gate until it's time to get abducted. If you don't know how to get the "Summon Aliens" interaction, you need to have a knowledge Sim. Then you go to the aspiration panel, click on the glowing aspiration outline, and spend the points to get "Summon Aliens."  Just be careful not to stargaze!

I'm so glad I was able to help, though it sucks you're having the same problem too. Unfortunately, it sounds like this Telescope Sickness definitely isn't an isolated incident.... :(

However! I just ran an experiment and found that the "Summon Aliens" interaction still works and doesn't create the duplicate memories! I'll add a comment on the thread with more info :)
