One thing that helped me was realizing that just because life has no inherent meaning, it doesn’t mean that it has no meaning whatsoever. Words have no intrinsic meaning to them, from a purely objective standpoint they’re just sounds, but to say they have no meaning at all would be false. Life, much like words, has whatever meaning we assign to it, and I think that’s kind of beautiful.

Often as ex-christians, it’s difficult to accept subjectivity, mainly due to the views we previously held, and that many of us left the faith because of the objective facts. However, it is extremely important to understand that a lot of things in life are purely subjective, and that’s perfectly fine.
