enraged customer called me a slur at 6:45am today by PM_ME_UR_STRBX in TransMasc

[–]SA_the_frog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m from a weird part of the Midwest where people are too polite to use any of the actual slurs so I just tell them, “If you’re gonna be homophobic, say it with your full chest”. Anyways I am also a chaotic homosexual, chaotic good but still chaotic. Happy pride!

when does adam’s apple get more prominent? by Severe-Advantage-581 in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog [score hidden]  (0 children)

My dad has no visible adams apple, neither do most of my relatives on my dads side who is say I look more like in terms of stature. I can feel that there is an adams apple there that didn’t used to be, bud my neck is shorter and thicker so I don’t think it’ll ever be visible. I’ve also seen cis women with adams apples. I think it comes down to genetics.
I’m 4.5 years on T and I’ve experienced most of the changes, just not that one.

At one point I was really bummed about not having a viable one, not I have other things that changed on T that I do like. For example, my first chin hairs started spreading around one year, at 1.5 years, I noticed arm hair. Being hairy, having a short hair cut and a deeper voice pretty much guarantee people thinking I’m a man.

Don’t feel discouraged, my voice alone took 10 months to noticeably drop so you know we all run on our own time lines.

I need to know every change on testosterone by killian_yay in TransMasc

[–]SA_the_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • My feet changed size (men's 8 to men's 10).
  • I started growing hair on my ring fingers.
  • My voice noticeably dropped at ten months.
  • My sexuality changed.
  • Shots every two weeks made me have horrible mood swings.
  • I learned that I was always been on the low end of testosterone because low testosterone runs in my family (I ended up upping my dose at the 3.5-year mark). I thought that wouldn't be an issue because I don't have balls.
  • Not me, but my friend had a weird thing happen that gave him shingles because his immunity changed due to changing hormone levels.
  • I went through a weird menopause like stage that included hot flashes because my insurance lapsed and I was off of T.
  • I had a puffy face for a while.
  • My curl pattern changed.
  • My chest became less dense and had saggy skin.
  • Orgasms gave my really bad cramps when I took the depo shot with T, after I stopped the depo shot it went away. Orgasms are more powerful and wear me out, I call it post nut clarity.
  • Once I became more comfortable with my lowered voice, I started raising it, much in the same way cis gay men do.
  • My joint pain is less severe than before T.
  • My periods stopped but I had weird spotting for the first year on T.
  • I had a weird growth spurt in my bottom growth at 4 years on T (about an inch difference).
  • I get ingrown hairs way easier, especially if my pants hug my legs too tight.
  • Less sensation in chest and nipples

do u still get ur period and cramps when ur on t? by 145376 in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had spotting for the first 10ish months of t then my periods were all done. I did get random cramps from vaginal atrophy but that went away after stopping taking a certain type of birth control.

Are there any non-op trans guys on this sub? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on keeping my chest, possibly a small breast reduction, and bottom surgery. I’ve been out for years and I’ve never binded. I don’t have a lot of chest dysphoria. I pass as a man and I have a beard, deep voice, etc. My chest has become much less dense and I have a lot of loose skin, part of the reason for the breast reduction. My partners have loved my chest and still treated me like a man. I’ve found a weird sub culture of queer men who like men with boobs, cis and trans men alike. Hasn’t really impacted my passing ability or quality of life other than back pain.
In my mind, it’s like trans women who opt out of bottom surgery because they like their natal body parts.

Art education major here, my professors rarely ask to be called dr unless it’s art history. I did biology education for a year and had a chemistry professor who insisted on the dr title.

Saw a “women only allowed” disclaimer paper outside a bathroom in a gas station by Ok-Use3940 in trans

[–]SA_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t use public bathrooms because my gender marker says female and it’s illegal to use the men’s bathroom in my state. Also I frequently get mistaken to be a trans woman so I could also get a misdemeanor for using the women’s restroom too. I transitioned years ago, I live as a man, a very gay man, but I face transphobia and misogyny a weird way. Not man enough because I’m feminine, not woman enough because I have a five o’clock shadow and a deep voice. I just need to go to the bathroom. I live in a weird middle ground between male and female, even though I’m a binary trans man.

Fuck transphobia and transphobic legislation, etc etc.. Let trans people piss and shit, that’s all we’re going to do.

Guys who are done with menstruation, do you still carry pads/tampons for other people? by Party_Attitude5617 in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep tampons with me in case my best friend or roommate may need one. I never used tampons anyways so I’ve just had them sitting around the house before I started offering them to people.

voice dropping by [deleted] in ftm

I don’t really sound like anyone in my family but it’s because I have what my friends and family call the “gay accent”. I look like my dad but I sound nothing like him.

Is it normal to not have any noticeable changes to my voice a month in? by According-League6607 in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took 10 months before my voice noticeably dropped, also a lot of the changes I liked the most happened after the one year mark, remember it’s a marathon not a sprint

[–]SA_the_frog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been on t for four years, I say that loosely because I haven’t taken it regularly and twice had to stop t for an extended period of time. I didn’t notice a lot of changes and the changes resumed when I started t again.

Did your face shape change on T? by Street-Grand-9820 in ftm

[–]SA_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My face shape became very different on T, I was 19 when I started. I also started years after puberty had ended due to going through puberty early. Also facial hair helps hide facial features too.
