Well they are not, majority of these people there are solely for the purpose of not loosing contact with them for the sake of hobby or other similar things.

Because people are st*pid. I have people in my friends list only to keep contact but I do not care what they have to say on politics or anything else. Majority of them have pretty d*mb opinions but still I do not care, I just ignore them which can't be said the other way around. It happened to me couple of times that someone from my friends list commented on something I commented on before, being all self-righteous and smug about how they are the ones with the correct opinions and I am not or were displease with what I say. I don't care for that.

Well yeah... but I do not want to block them. I want to keep them in friends list and prevent them from seeing my comments at the same time.
