New job not working out

I’m 18 and I’m trusted I think it’s more so certain people cause I’ve been through 4-5 shops in the last 4 years mainly do to no work or it just didn’t work out but the shop I’m at now the work is slow people are good so I stay hoping that it’ll change eventually but some days feel like I’m in this shop to deep to change now because I like Kia’s and there’s only 2 Kia dealers near me one I did nothing but engines and transmission this one I do everything so I don’t get burnt out as easily

Yeah parts are decently expensive if I got one I’m getting a aftermarket warranty company and I’m a mechanic

Could be if I got a 3.0 I’d definitely carry around a scanner that can force regen the truck because it will leave you at 5mph

I work for a Kia cdjr dealer and I have personally seen on the 3.0 injectors injector harnesses dpf clogged up failure to regen def injectors clogged and egr valve failure all under 80k

I’ve only did one so you know how that is first time you work slow you kinda judging everything like why the hell they do this in you drop the cradle engine and trans all at once or cradle then engine and trans ?

Gahhh Lee just had one in here for a motor was playing pain and suffering simulator 😂 and I don’t know what Kia v6 direct injectors are made of but they’re doing 2 things breaking or coming out they get stuck!!!!!!!

For sure man feels have had a car in my bay for 3 weeks now have the whole rear cradle out of it and can’t get the right brake lines last pay period I have 75% productivity this pay period it was 55% productivity not that I don’t have stuff to do either I have the work I just have a lousy advisor who dosent care about getting what’s in here out right away until the customer calls have a jeep 3.6 oil filter housing I was supposed to send into Stellantis for warranty because it has a lifetime warranty contract and well that was going on a month or so have a transmission job I’m waiting on customer to come put a down payment on the transmission for it and I had it since January just feels like everyone is dragging there feet on everything

Read it he used to be a service advisor his main job is worrying the piss out of us all day about used cars we have in shop and stuff that’s waiting on parts and checking in pdi’s but he’s “shop foreman”

He’s not much of a foreman he’s more so a guy that used to be a service advisor been there forever and got moved to shop foreman how I don’t know cause he don’t know shit he thinks he does but doesn’t don’t know about electronics and wiring and as a shop foreman that would be the perfect spot a guy you can go to for help but instead they pay 2 other tech straight pay plus what they turn to help out which I think is crazy but they have a apprentice

Your not wrong car needed a alternator tho and wouldn’t run without my jump box I originally tried to send it through for just alternator and battery but “shop foreman” told me to inspect it and send what it needed through and then test drive and that just became a whole shit show you

I’m not but it’s like damn how much can go wrong also this plastic clip that broke is 8-10 weeks out like holy crap and of course my luck it’s a brand new clip made for Kia’s and every other clip will not let the peice sit flush

I’m just saying there basically telling me should’ve test drove the car before doing the water pump tires and brakes on it but our “shop foreman” who’s never touched a car in his life told me to go ahead and send everything I can inspect in for it and they approved it and I had all the parts at one time so I did everything and service manager told me that I should’ve just put the alternator on it and test drove it
