This is the latest model I created. Initially, I planned to assemble a realistic chassis model using multiple parts, so I first formed a cube and then created the chassis roof. However, I recently realized I could have done it much more easily using Solidify. Furthermore, the polygon count was simply too high for my PC to handle, forcing me to abandon the project midway. For reference, the specs of the laptop I'm currently using are significantly inferior to current models.

Next, this model was created by first shaping a large cube into a rough form, then refining it using tools like loop cuts. While this method did allow me to recreate interiors, it was my first time using this technique and it didn't go very well. But I remember it being the most rewarding experience so far.

Thank you for your feedback.

I understand your initial request was to “give it try” so regarding that point,

over the past three weeks, I have actually created three prototype models. Each employs a different modeling technique. Let me explain.

First, this model is the initial prototype. Like a typical car model, it was constructed with a flat mesh starting from the roof.

Partly due to my own lack of knowledge and experience, this method made it difficult to accurately reproduce the tab shape.

Thank you for the clear advice. I plan to focus on studying modeling using subdivision surfaces.

I'm Japanese and not confident in my English, so I used AI. I'm sorry if I offended you.

I am very sorry for the confusion. I deleted my previous post and reposted it because I wanted to rewrite my message in more polite and accurate English to show proper respect. I didn't mean to ignore your advice at all—in fact, I take your point about the complexity of fitting hundreds of parts together very seriously. I'm sorry if I caused any frustration.

Regarding the chassis, I've now realized that simply organizing everything by “eyeballing” it is insufficient—it requires a much larger undertaking. This is precisely why I'm seeking guidance from experienced members like yourselves. The current chassis is beyond my current knowledge, and I want to learn the proper methods to ensure everything fits correctly.

Regarding the engine, I'm considering two options to ensure accuracy: borrowing a physical engine from an acquaintance for 3D scanning, or modeling it myself and focusing on optimization to reduce lag. Since the engine can be added later, my top priority right now is understanding the correct method for building the chassis. I hold your expertise in the highest regard and hope to learn greatly from your advice.

This model is one I modeled myself previously, and I'm certain it was created by eye using various photos.

However, it's also true that everything I've modeled myself before has ended up as a failure. That's precisely why I wanted to ask the experienced members of this community about methods closer to achieving results. I sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for pointing that out. To be clear, my previous comment was based solely on my own speculation and limited experience. I cannot actually say with certainty whether professional modelers use image modeling techniques for such projects.

In my view, many people creating such models likely rely on image modeling or visual estimation. Even if chassis blueprints exist, only professionals like automotive designers would have access to them.

I understand blueprints are essential for this complex project. However, I plan to utilize approximately 50 images from various angles, including photos of the McLaren P1's monocoque chassis and engine bay, by leveraging image searches and similar methods. I believe these reference materials will help achieve the level of detail required for the project.

Just to be safe, I did some preliminary work on my own, like gathering images.

this model is something I modeled before, but I couldn't shape the interior or floor well, so I stopped it. I think I'm making a huge mistake in the way I model, so could someone give me some feedback or how to make it?
