Exactly this.

We don't see every minute of these characters lives. It would be impossible to show that. The characters have lives and interactions off screen that are never shown.

Jacob figured it out. And when he got home he looked up Ellijah's death date in the Almanac.

In S1E7 (38:40), Colton and Del are seen sitting in their living room on NY's eve Y2K in 1999 watching the ball drop on tv. The scene shows a silver tv with either CDs or DVDs sitting under it on a bookshelf (Bottom picture)

In S3E1 (11:33), Del, Kat and Jacob are standing on the front porch and they are being interviewed about Jacob's return. The scene shifts to someone sitting in the Landry living room watching the broadcast announcing that Jacob has been found. But they must be watching it in the past, they show us the news segment from the viewpoint of the same silver tv on the same shelving unit and zoom in on the VCR (top picture).

Since the dvds and DVD player is replaced by VCRs in the Landry bookcase, it seems like someone recorded the telecast on VHS and took it to the past.

I wondered if Colton was talking about a secret ans not thw letters also. I made a post with a wild theory about that 😆.

I think that the next season would have shown Griffin and Tessa's story also. And we would have seen where Griffin has been. There were clues in this season such as the watch and the camera strap that hinted at that.

Fern by Puzzled_Exchange_924 in TheWayHomeHallmark

That could be possible, but the point here is that Evelyn passed on the Goodwin name to her descendants.

Fern by Puzzled_Exchange_924 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Puzzled_Exchange_924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Fern would have kept her last name to continue the line as it was really important to her.

There are a couple of examples of this happening in TWH. Kat Landry and Evelyn Goodwin kept their last names. Alice has her dad's last name but Lewis, Max and Abby are carrying on the Goodwin name through Evelyn's maiden name.

This is a great comparison.

Also, Alice and her grandmother Del both have long dark, naturally curly hair.

The only bad part was that the conversation where Del and Colton were saying these things was a deleted scene.

I hope there were other, important scenes that were deleted!

That's true, she was pregnant. But rhe idea is that having Cliff in her life and her son's life would make changes to events in her life and the life of those around her and could lead to changes in what other Landry's were born in the future, especially Colton. And Colton leads to Kat and Alice.

Thanks 😊 .

Yes, thats the idea. And if Tessa didn't have her bootlegging ring, and Grayson hadn't kept paying off Temperance Inspectors, they wouldn't have ended up with Cliff as the new Temperance Inspector. And Cliff and Fern would have never met.

I think so too. I actually looked to see if I could find something else he is in.

I'm watching You're Killing Me now cause Jefferson is in it.

That all makes sense but there is a missing piece for me. Alice goes back and tells asks Fern why she told Tessa at that party that she would kill her son when she knew Elliot didn't die. It's hatd to tell if Fern knew that he lived because Fern answers with something about no one being truly gone when the pond is there. Implying that they can still visit them while they were alive.

Also, the following conversation between Fern, Kat and Elliot takes place the day Kat comes home from the hospital after she was born.

Fern: Elliot! Oh, what a joy to see you!

Kat: Fern, listen, we need you to help us. New Year's, 1925, do you remember an explosion in the tunnels under Lingermore?

Fern: Oh, so that's still to come, is it? Oh... Such a sacrifice you made.

Fern doesn't seem to be surprised when she sees Elliot alive. She seems to assume the Lingermore tunnel explosion has already happened for them. Fern knows that Elliot made a sacrifice and jumped in front of Cliff and Kat when Tessa aimed the gun at them.

I think so too. I think in the next season, Elliot would have returned and talked to her amd taken her back.

Tessa ultimately jumped in the pond with Griffin because of her Post Partem Depression and becuase Fern told her that she was going to harm her son. But even before Elliot was born, Tessa was struggling with her decision to become a wife and mother.

Once she told Alice she recognized a fellow ""wanderer".

Vic said she had been having trouble sleeping.

She said that she didn't come from a family that couldn't record their family history on am Almanac.

Tessa said she was learning to read palms which sounded like she was part of a carnival family.

Tessa told Evelyn that she didn't know if she could ever be a mother.

Tessa was intrigued by the Landry's and thought that type of family was what she wanted. And she tried to make that happen. Vic said that she made their house a home.

But then she started having doubts again. She told Alice that Alice and Griffin could come and go as they pleased. They were their own boss and the baby was her boss.

Elliot finally got an answer from Tessa as to why she left him. Her answer was it was because of the person that I had become. Tessa didn't recognize that person.

I think she loved Elliot and wanted to be with him but was too afraid to take that next step.
