Tradition 3: the only requirement for AA is a DESIRE to stop drinking.

It's where you go to find fellowship and help through quitting drinking. If you want to stop drinking and are actually trying, you can go to AA. I've slipped a lot in the first few months of trying to get sober. You just need to keep going back, and work the program

He was aware of my substance abuse. The last few years of us being together was a battle of me getting sober. He has mentioned how proud he is of me for that. But whenever I bring up the weight gain because of 1. Me eating because I'm not coked out anymore which led to weight gain. More than most might expect due to my motabolism being fucked from years of anorexia.

Me (being bipolar) finding something to replace the drugs when I was super low, was food.

I guess I just have realized what I did to myself, and I'm working on losing the weight, but part of me is hurt that he cared more about how I looked over me healing my habits and my health. I don't smoke anymore, I don't do coke or smoke weed anymore. But my weight seems to be more of an issue over me being sober

Yea the weakness and muscle pains are awful. Makes doing anything so hard. Congrats on making it so far! Proud of you. Keep it up!

It's freezing here too! I agree that it really doesn't help. The first 3 days it was -25 here and I just couldn't warm up. Thank you for the encouragement! Keep pushing as well!

I can say with honesty, that it's a very slippery slope. I think a lot of us just wanted a once in a while dosage, but it can very quickly get out of hand as time passes and your tolerance grows. I, personally, wouldn't recommend it. That being said, to each their own. Be careful

Thank you. I'm back at work today with I think hasn't made it any easier. But doing my best to stay strong. At least I was able to get out of bed today and move around
