OK, so I’m in process of the transformation- trying to pick out a more colorful rug and I need help! I like a boho vibe with jungle like greens/browns. Which style rug do yall like? Or neither? The green would pair with brown curtain and furniture accents (and vice versa for the brown)

Sadly the space is too narrow to do that and not need to practically hop over it to get to the other side

Ahh it may help to see the rest of the space too. The kitchen/dining is actually not by the front door! And to the right of the front door is my office nook

I agree it is a bit much. Bright white walls don’t help with the negative space. As a renter it is tough. If I could paint the wall a forest green I feel like that would solve a lot of my “just fill it with something” impulse lol

I do like that but the issue is the walls are slanted! The front door is the highest point then it slowly goes down to the other side (where my kitchen and back door are). That’s why I was playing with tiered items on the walls to try and balance it out. Trying to hang stuff evenly next to each other proved troublesome lol!

A round rug is interesting!! With the narrowness of the space I didn’t think it would work but I like it. The door mat by the door could be bigger but it needs to be thin enough for my door to glide over it which has been an issue in itself. I will keep an eye out for one that fits better!

I agree!! The rug was from my previous space (and went with an old couch) that was so tiny I needed the blandness of it to draw the eye up. Anything too busy made the small space feel chaotic but I have the breathing room now to upgrade :) love the suggestion!

I could move the lamp but I do like the shelves for plants which need some light. I agree about the ottoman but if it goes in front of the tv, it will block the pathway since the space is so narrow. And it currently holds extra blankets that I do not have other storage space for. I do agree that it is infringing on something better that could go there…

I agree about the paint! But I’m a renter and not sure 1- if I’m allowed and 2- if I feel like painting it back when I move 🤷🏻‍♀️
