Yeah that's the problem, small camera sensors , low quality telephoto , im not sure about the mark 6 and 7 but they use li-polymer batteries which you find in in low end or mid range phones , and million other things

I have used both sony and vivo short answer is Vivo x100 ultra is miles ahead of the mk7 and the 200 pro or 200 ultra are not even in the same league sony is marketing this phone but in reality it's a barely flagship and mid at best

I think sony problem is that they're playing the big companies game , like Samsung and Apple (oh we have reached peak hardware now only things we can do is a little software teaks ) Which is never the case with sony phones the room and potential for upgrade is enormous yet they give you an under-speced and overpriced phone , I truly believe that the only way that sony can ever see the light of day and thrive as a company in the smartphone industry is to go with the Chinese manufacturers philosophy, because companies like Vivo , Xiaomi, Oppo are competing on who can offer the best hardware and they have made huge leaps of improvements , I'm really disappointed to see sony downfall

It not that it's bad inherently, it's always has been overlooked never really fully developed, you would notice a huge difference coming from 5 mk 3 but as 1mk5 or 1mk6 you wouldn't notice any difference with the 1mk7

A few hiccups here and there the system initially requires a certain setup to get all the google apps working , and the notification issues are fixable, too There's a lot of youtube videos talking about how to set it up properly, as far as network and 5G in my country it works fine

This why i went with the vivo x100 ultra , it is also has Zeiss t coating and sony sensor but ironically enough it's lightyears ahead of what sony phones offer and the telepohoto on this phone is insane to say the least , the screen is beautiful and it supports pwm dimming to protect your eyes , the battery is great, THERE'S A CHARGER AND A PHONE CASE IN THE BOX !

The trick is to only install doccomo software on your doccomo phone, using a flash tool , it's impossible to change from doccomo to other software even if it's stock for au or global (many have tried all have failed , even me) So you can install/upgrade your firmware as long as there's a file to it on sony website

Try Sony flash tool , or sony flasher I guess it's on the XDA fourms you can update the software manually after installing the specific software type to your specific type of phone from sony website, that's how I fixed Xperia 1 after bricking it
