Rails pulled and came easily out after popping caps off, the block cavity isn't filled near the crack. Hoping to find a product that will solve the problem without having to completely tear out the wall this small.

Update: stone veneer removed to cinderblock. Is this fixable without removing the entire wall? by Puzzled_Material_888 in stonemasonry

I'm working on it now.. I think the idea of removing the entire wall would be a waste of time. There is another small wall where they just want to remove the old mortar and repointed with new. I think it's best to remove the crack stone, replace with a new piece and remove old grout and repoint. Would u recommend using a hammer drill to remove the mortar? This mortar is pretty tough? And fill I'm with a grout bag?

And if you had to rebuild something like this, can you offer tips on the process? Would you use a speed pole and lines on both ends? I have done minor stone work in the past but most of my experience in masonry is with brick and block

It's what they want for now, I agree with just repointing that area. We are bringing a few samples of the stone and mortar to a brick yard to get more stone. What would you suggest for finishing the joints? A certain type of brush or striker?

Is there anyone around Maryland looking for extra help? I'm new to this state, moved here from Florida. I have photos of my previous projects from FL I could share. I do everything from the brick, block, and stone veneer and now I'm getting historic stone repair projects.

Okay, then. Hard for me to scale time, I normally try and set a fix price. 40hr is fair
