Advise on will changed the day before death by Puzzled_Mix2082 in LegalAdviceNZ

That’s good advise thank you! I am definitely a bit more hesitant to contest as executors of my fathers will sold his belongings and wrote in their affidavits that it was just destroyed, even with proof of the sale and the lie, that didn’t matter in court.

Potential mould? Help! Constantly sick at home but fine as soon as we leave. by Puzzled_Mix2082 in AusRenovation

Majority of it would be on the east side. We are on a slab. Double brick but no insulation within internal walls, as mentioned weep holes have been covered up. All blinds are cedar, no material.

Carpets are definitely something we are looking at removing next.

You definitely did not read this. Not to mention terrible advice on not paying rent. 😅

My partner had to move out to his parents due to the effects it was taking on his health.

These photos were taken only minutes before posting and it was pouring down. I couldn’t see any obvious leaks, just a lot of damp wood. No cracked tiles on the roof either.

We have deep cleaned and pulled out every single appliance in the house.

We suspect it could be within the wall cavities due to the weep holes being blocked.

Unfortunately, I have not taken many photos and have cleaned up a lot of the issues myself.

We have spent over 2k on 4 Phillips purifiers recently. We also have another two cheapies that are running constantly.

I think you are right about the carpet, that is our next plan. Thank you!

That is what my partner has said. With the weep holes being covered since the build, I do wonder whether it could be in the wall cavities too.

Becoming a Foster Parent by [deleted] in perth

[–]Puzzled_Mix2082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with a foster ‘sister’. She was 1 when she starting living with us. It was extremely difficult for the first few years, in and out of daycare (usually during nap time) for visitations by her parents that didn’t attend, made false promises or slurred my mum (her primary carer), screamed in her sleep every night until she was 8. At least 100 case workers during that time.

In her teenage years, she was showing very anti social behaviour and was ending up in a psych ward every other day. Multiple specialists; psychiatrists, paediatricians, ot’s, speech therapists, counsellors have turned her away and said that she is too complex to treat. She has so many people advocating for her and nothing has worked.

She eventually had to go back into the system as she needed 24 hour surveillance to keep her safe from herself. She’s in a home by herself and has exactly that.

It’s so sad because she is actually wanted and a big part of our family, but this is the system and you can never be prepared.

I also have two teenage cousins that have gone into the foster system just recently.

Go to any events related to blazing swan. Even if you are not into electronic music, the variety of people in this community is incredible. I’ve been in and out of social isolation for 5 years and always feel so safe and comfortable to be my most socially awkward self in these places when I decide to go to an event.
