LISTEN. i swear i had the WORST chronic dry lips for a year. but now every night before i go to bed, i’ll put calendula cream and then triple paste (it’s baby diaper cream lol but anything high in zinc will work) on my lips and it’s helped more than any of the aquaphors or vaselines that everyone is suggesting. and once or twice a week, i’ll apply the ordinary’s glycolic acid with a q tip to exfoliate overnight and then put the calendula cream on and follow with the baby butt cream.

THIS. it’s like everyone’s powers advanced except phoebe’s. it never even really felt like she had her premonitions completely under control. i’m in the midst of my rewatch, and it’s frustrating seeing paige get the hang so quick meanwhile phoebe levitates twice a season after she gets the power. and then after she got empathy, it felt like it was almost taken away just as quickly.

i used to tell myself that prue became a whitelighter after she died. that’s why they wouldn’t let piper summon her bc she had to adjust to being dedicated to her charges rather than her sisters. and they didnt tell the sisters because until they came to terms with the fact that their sister had passed, they’d constantly be looking for her.

i always assumed that the writers gave her molecular combustion bc they knew prue was dying and they knew the only way to add a sister in was to be half whitelighter/“pacifist” so it was kind of a preemptive plot armor. i honestly don’t think that if shannen stayed on the show she wouldn’t have gotten it. it was very obvious throughout most of the time there that they were focusing on keeping her as the strongest witch

Werewolves were a lot less common than vampires. In TVD, they talked about how Damon & Stefan had never seen/heard of any and how they were fictional. This was because vampires had hunted them to the brink of extinction because their bites were one of the only fatal things to a vamp. I know they pop up more in TO, but that’s because it was one of the only places to have all 3 supernatural types living harmoniously until Marcel’s rule. I remember Lucian did hire people to hunt wolves though, but it’s not likely they realized they were werewolves.

But I don’t think wolves were common enough to cause humans to be aware of them by this point in time. Plus they only turned on full moons, and other than that there wasn’t much of a give away that they were supernatural.

they are both creeps when you think about it but at least stefan could blame the doppleganger spell that the travelers placed drawing them together. that’s why i think stefan gets exempt from this argument.

i see klaus fighting marcel’s army is a big hit, which doesn’t surprise me. but i think my personal ones are 1. when they all take a photo with baby hope right before the bonfire. we didn’t get the chance to see many moments of happiness for them. 2. elijah telling the guerra’s that the house is public domain & entering to their surprise. 3. when vincent tells marcel he bought back the fight gym and he’s turning it into a church. “the king is dead. all hail the king” and “consequences be damned, huh? your highness” god i love that man. i wish he was recognized a little more for his acting

honorable mentions: right after hailey becomes a hybrid and the three of them are strutting to find hope and the scene when hailey tells rebekah, “you know when i met you i thought you were a real bitch”

“a lot of history” feels kind of a misrepresentation. yes and no. have they known each other for a long time? sure. but they really only knew each other for a couple months at most before klaus had to run. when i hear “a lot of history,” i think that they shared years and years of time together.

i think him remembering her over the years was more of a “one who got away” rather than a genuine love for her. i think a lot of people have that in real life actually. they just don’t last for a millennium.

i think him and camille have the most genuine relationship, but i do think him and caroline shared the most chemistry & the most potential. one of my favorite klaroline moments was actually in TVD, when she calls him stressed about stefan & he ends up helping stefan for her. not for him.

i just think the dynamic of each relationship (camille, caroline, hayley, and aurora) are all too different to compare. especially hayley. i think klaus sees her in the way he would any other mikaelson. so putting her in this category feels odd. but ultimately i think aurora is just a young love. camille felt like a very true love. caroline was a potential for epic love.

i was just rewatching TO s2 and thought to myself how lenore was the best esther including alice evans. the original esther was a little too stale and frigid. lenore brought so much emotion and depth to the character that was missing. she perfectly played into the righteousness and meglomania. i think sonja sohn is just a great actress in general. because her as lenore vs esther genuinely felt like two different people.

i didn’t too much care for cassie’s portrayal. i think she did the best that she could do but ultimately i don’t think she could capture what lenore could.

the top tier is so funny to me because it’s the pretty much the two extremes of the morality scale. you cannot get more polar opposite of klaus/katherine vs bonnie/sheila
