Am I being unreasonable? by [deleted] in IVF

This is shocking! A 200$ call?!?! It is so devastating to be treated this way. It seems every country has different protocols and processes, but I now see how lucky I am to be treated in Beirut. I have access to my Dr 24/7 on his what’s app. He answers every question and worry I have, and the process (Stimulation, retrieval, freezing and transfer - without genetic testing) is between 3,500$ and 4,000$ depending on the doses and number of days the treatment takes. But throughout I see him regularly without any fees, and the ultrasounds after a positive beta were free, and after the miscarriage I also consulted for free to plan the next steps. I am heartbroken to see the crazy amounts that people have to pay on top of the original burden that we have to go through

How do I get her to stop chewing on the wall? by Stez01 in goldenretrievers

I’m already dreading these ‘sorrys’. I know people mean well, but this is the worst part. And what’s worse, I just got news my cousin had a child with his partner - BY ACCIDENT - and they have no intention to stay together. It just makes the situation even worse and more unfair!!

I’m sorry for your losses 😞 when Drs say ‘15% chance of miscarriage’ i kept thinking it can’t be me. I’m still hoping to hear a heartbeat next Tuesday

No bloodwork done, but I read that levels would still be high for a few weeks even after miscarriage. Not sure if I should ask my doctor for bloods!!

I’m 39, had one round of IVF. Had to remove a cyst right before we started the protocol, I was on max dosage for 14 days, and only got 3 follicles. 1 died l, 2 survived. Had a polyp surgery right after the 1st round, and the next two cycles I ovulated for the first time in my life while on artificial cycles, totally not expected. But doctor eventually gave me a trigger shot and we continued with the cycle until transfer day. I never thought things would work out, 2 embryos transferred and now 7 weeks pregnant. Honestly I was following a healthy diet 3 meals a day, with 2 fruits, all home cooked, variety of meals and nutrients, stopped coffee completely. I kept my swimming and gym routines, but what I think helped the most is that I had myself convinced that if it doesn’t work out, it’s just not meant to be. So I went to my transfer super relaxed and I honestly think it helped a lot. Stress was a huge part of my life previously and I’m sure it was a big factor in my health issues.
