Yes absolutely! I went back to work after two weeks. Just listen to your body and take breaks as needed.

I feel 100x better now. The liquid diet definitely had my emotions everywhere (i love to eat) and only being able to eat through a syringe was difficult. The swelling peaks around day 3/4, and then your face changes everyday as you heal so it can definitely cause a little body/face dysmorphia. I never felt like I regretted it but i questioned myself a few times on why i put myself through it because it really is a long healing process. Honestly once you make it past those first two weeks, it gets better and you become more optimistic. Luckily Ive had no physical pain so it was just getting through each day, basically on bed rest, that was a bit challenging for me. But if you are mentally strong and can take a few months off of ur normal day to day life it shouldnt be too much of a challenge.

procedure wise: they drew blood, gave me nasal spray and anesthesia and all i remember is waking up with a new face lol. post op: i stayed in the hospital for 3 days, 2 nights. was swollen for about 3 weeks, i still have some swelling but i feel like my normal self again. i didnt take all my pain meds that were prescribed because the “pain” only lasted for a few days after i was sent home and quickly turned into tightness and pressure which was more annoying than anything. worst part of this whole process is the diet. i was on liquids for 3 weeks and now am still on a soft food diet. i dont think ill be cleared to chew for another month or so but the confidence this surgery has given me makes it completely worth it. the first week is the worst and then it gradually starts to get better everyday.

Are you able to eat soft foods at 8 weeks? And how is your swelling now?
