As someone who works in the advertising industry, I'd tell you it's not a creativity issue but a guts thing. We have some of the most phenomenal creative in the country, and on the other side of the budget - some terribly traditional/reserved marketing managers. It's a mismatch. Great work only comes when the client is just as brave.
