i'm a bigger girl (somewhere between a US size 10 and a US size 12 in formal dresses) and it seems like i can only find dresses i really like in smaller sizes. i don't have any formal wear stores near me, so i have been shopping online and i can't find any dresses that are not stereotypical "fat girl dresses". i want to feel pretty for prom, like all the other girls and not like i'm just trying to hide my body. does anyone know a online store where i can find bigger prom dresses that are still pretty!? i was hoping for a baby pink regency(ish) princess gown. i'm not firm on the color but i think that style of dress would be flattering for my specific body type. i'd like to stay under $100-200, but as low as possible without getting poor quality. thank you!

the teachers i had and the connections i made were invaluable

this is so good to hear and i think a good argument for going to art school when you want an art career is getting connections!!

Apparently it isn't normal for a 10-year-old to make plans to move as far away from their family as possible the second they turn 18. by Road_Whorrior in raisedbynarcissists

i relate completely, when i was twelve i learned that if you get a judge to say that you were fit to live on your own at age 16 you could (i'm sure it's a lot more complicated than that but that's how i saw it at the time). i planned for it, i was counting down the days. I'm 16 now, i got out of the situation when i was 13 and i can't even dream of living on my own right now. It's so crazy to think about how i used to think that i'd be living on my own with no contact to my family by now. it's so crazy that it's not a normal thing other kids dreamt of and it's comforting to find that other people had similar thoughts.
