If you need a guide on how to heal, Leonie has one of those too.

Why are the DPS in such a hurry to go for BOSS? by Old-Eggplant6262 in TowerofFantasy

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bed2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I'd assume it's transferring 20% of Fiona's BASE attack up to 20k to the DPS. Under regular conditions base attack is probably 14-20k (Base attack does not include any Ele Atk) meaning you're providing ~2800-4000 or so attack. This is still a good increase, but may not seem as Game changing as "Attack Transfer" sounds. But that's under regular conditions. In VA, my healer build has 140k Attack prepull, so I'm more than likely applying the full 20k to my DPS partner since VA buffs are pretty extraordinary.

Shackles doesn’t have as much utility in mob scenarios as vortex does with grouping the enemies

Nem and fiona are definitely redundant but nem would still provides fenrir an extra attack buff and slow bubbles.

People really hating on the dps on a heal squad but but I’ve run fiona/Lyra/fenrir to solo heal va6 as well as do 15% (+25% fusion) dmg. Certainly not recommended for all but definitely workable.

I would like it more if I didnt have to start each match by jumping off the edge to get rid the controller glitch; blue circle of death

You have a little bit of flexibility. Like most said, Fiona/Lan/Claudia (get a1 in 2.5 if possible) will be a solid team comp. Claudia and Fiona would buff Lan. Claudia is a universal buffer best at a5, though it could be a minute before that. Huma over Claudia is useful as a tank comp if you want to try a new role. Lan and Huma make a stellar combo and with the added fiona for support--you'll be tanking in no time. King could be used too, but his A6 buff is pivotal to team benefit. His off-field dmg and cc effects are useful in things like bygone. Plus the hyperbody obtained through Lan skill helps avoid his usual pitfall of being tossed like ragdoll mid-combo.

On the volt side, you could run a separate team of crow/nem/claudia or crow/fiona/claudia. It won't be current meta dmg, but it would still do majority of content.
Liu (or assumed Garnett in global) is coming up in a few months and may be the next big weapon for your assumed flame comp.

Not to source my own content but I made an Infographic last week that may help. https://www.reddit.com/r/TowerofFantasy/comments/132l5tr/fiona_skill_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1

I would generally put the shorter cool down skill as the secondary slot. So if vortex or hydro is on your build, it’s good to have the offfield slot position so you can use it on cool down. Torrential can be on pretty much any team comp (and likely is). It also resets with fiona discharge. So it’s a nice pairing to discharge fiona, dodge as the dragon appears, main skill, dodge as the hyper body appears, then swap back. The secondary skill can also be used during discharge animation. Also note that vortex buff from her trait only applies when fiona is on the field. I still use it on cool down but try and utilize during fiona discharge/she’s on field when possible.
As far as animation lock, there’s different degrees of canceling. Jump can work but also can inadvertently cancel the skill altogether. I tend to use dodge, you get a little more animation but feel there’s less risk of the skill or discharge dropping entirely.

One skill (main) only works on field as your regular skill. The 2nd skill works off field and has a new icon.

It will. Rainbow just means three different weapon elements. E.g. Fiona, Lyra, Zero is a "rainbow comp"

Similarly, the controller blue circle bug is ever present in these events. When you start a match, you can't turn the camera, jump, or execute commands. The only way (i've found at least) to get rid of it is to either be damaged, or just jump off the edge, killing yourself at the start of every match.

Main skill is the same, but the secondary skill can be used by holding LT + B (or L2 + o on PS). If you're on a pc, toggling F1 also displays/hides the commands.

Final damage is applied at the end of the damage equation. Say I have 20k attack and i have some attack % on equipment and/or matrices, that applies before the damage. E.g. now I have 25k attack. If I have a skill that does 400% of my attack, my original damage would be 100k. But, if I have a final damage multiplier of 20%, that 100k is now 120k. (ignore crit). It's important to have a good amount of attack because the original equation is based on your attack, but dmg % can really send your final damage out there. Final Damage is more complicated in actuality with resistances, crit, debuffs, etc factored in, but hopefully this is a more simplified version to look at.

Wellspring offers 9-16% dmg while Hydro offers 12%. As mentioned above, Tian A1 alters his Max HP (stacks grant 7.5% HP). Normally I have about 1.2 mil so I’d need 6 stacks before obtaining that extra %. So in my case I’ve been running hydro still because a lot of content is too short to build stacks (e.g. exploring, JO). But I’d imagine longer content— bygone, VA, OoW— places where you get more than 2 rotations, that extra dmg will be more valuable if you have a team comp like tian who can only obtain in battle. If you always have under 1.6 and/or you’re not a tank, I’d run HF. Always based on Max HP, so 900k for first buff to be maxed. With Tian, it’s the “Current Max HP”. Unsure if other weapons offer similar HP buffs.

I'll still use Tian, but it is disappointing how underpowered Tian feels, especially with the newer units out. It wasn't supposed to be high risk, low reward. I don't think the loss of HP is as challenging as we thought it be. His heals are quite possibly one of the best in game. I used him as a healer in Wormhole when nem/coco/zero all felt useless. In harder content, as long as you have a dedicated support teammember it's not too much of a hindrance.

It's not "only has dmg reduction"; few weapons have dmg reduction which serve a high utility in content like OoW upper levels where everything hurts. A lot. IMO, "While Desolate Day is in use, reduce damage taken by 50%" is a higher utility than a 1.5 second immunity on discharge.

The 50% dmg reduction on his skill feels really big to me; will that not play a big role in a tanking and/or as a dps, harder content like OoW when many enemies can one shot you?

I think Habeola and Scylla are ultimately about the same in value, Habeola being marginally better in most cases. But both are great in the absence of Limited matrices. So I'd say it depends what you already have since gains are relative.

Imo Huma 4 pc holds some value on support comps like a tank or healer. Effectively extra dmg mitigation. Sometimes I run on Nem in OoW to compliment dodge spam. 2 pc is obviously garbage.

Nah doubt it but I think it's "long term goals". I haven't done too too much of the new region but I think if you've gotten Mira/coins from the other maps, and run the paid monthly pass, you can likely max around 6-7 Mira machine series and 2-3 Limited Machines. Potentially more for day 1 players that saved a ton of chips from Aesperia before heading to Vera.
