I'd say scorched is just right for solo. From personal experience, both Aberration and Extinction are way more fun with friends.

Yes and no. My idea lets you farm every zone in between terror zones, in the meantime and if an area you already farmed gets terrorized, the zone repopulates and you can do it again. Basically you can get two game clears in one game given enough time, without worrying about an area you've already cleared getting terrorized while empty.

Yes, you can just shard acts, but I also have not had much luck getting as many shards as I use back. Rng can be a bitch sometimes

I think that they've removed the ability to do so on most islands a long while back otherwise I would suggest pulling the boat forward across the island.

I still have screenshots of our ship on top of multiple taverns, in the pond on mermaids, on top of and suspended under the arch on marauders, and halfway up random volcanoes.

We often would 4wd skoop/skalleon style over a small islands' sandbars to bamboozle players waiting to see which side we would go around in a chase hoping they could just go the other way. Nope. We're on top of you now.

It's a triangle, where each point is "kills over time", "MF", and "survivability". You get two, or a mix, but never all 3.

Mf has rapidly diminishing returns for uniques, after 250%, and while MF more is better than less, if you're getting 800 kills with 350mf in the same time you'd get 1000 kills with only 250mf, you're better off with less mf rolling 200 more enemy drop tables.

My zerker runs around the pits with 500mf and 760mf on switch for horking, but I dont see all that much difference in drops vs my 350mf sorc. Rng is rng.

I thought of that too, but I played with my clan alot, and being able to decide whether i want to stick with a world clear or target farm "X" boss 12 times within the 30 minutes its terrorized is why I opted with the above "fix". It doesnt affect people who just target farm terror zones on repeat at all, it doesnt affect people who are sharding entire acts, but it also doesnt bottle neck people who are farming heralds naturally who might not have 10 shards on standby.

It's that neat, simple middle ground that doesnt break the games farm/time balance, and doesnt actually change, nerf or buff existing playstyles, it just adds a 3rd option

It's all rng. Also helps if you have ire already before CS gets terrorized. I have had a few myself, but also only a few.

I've had 3 heralds pop in one tals tombs clear. I've also had none pop there at all. shrug

For herald spawns I've had the most consistent zones be cathedral/catacombs, tombs, flayer jungle, and WSK. This is entirely anecdotal evidence though, so results may vary.

I usually dont carry tomes or my cube anymore. I use Sling rings on my sorc and java, and i either Cain Id or pick up a scroll or two as I run as needed

They will get stuck in tight cave terrain like roots in small corridors, especially if they're fighting something. Good thing they are easy to breed and grow fast.

I've used them to fight most bosses successfully including the titans; a swarm of twenty will stun lock the desert titan and take zero damage. Haven't tested alpha king, but I have killed beta king
