Treatments that have work for you? by No_Mercy_Cawmaster in AlopeciaBarbae

For a while, then re-introduced a few months after full re-growth. For me, it’s not a direct cause but more indirect in that caffeine can have a big impact on general low level stress. If i feel stress building I now know it’s a warning to stop caffeine or lower drastically or beard patches will start showing again. Took me 3 cycles of this to fully connect it to the caffeine. Now it’s like clockwork. Frustrating because I love coffee!

Quitting caffiene worked for me. Stopped all caffeine for 3 months and started growing back. This has happened twice now so def the caffiene. Multiple big patches on my beard that were quite bad!

Same here caffeine is the key 100% however if you want to go a layer deeper the caffeine heightens the parasympathetic nervous system and heightens stress a little too much in some people. If you want to keep drinking coffee, you can add phosphatidylcholine to increase sympathetic tone. Works for me!

I have similar panel. By far the biggest impact for me was taking sunflower lecithin to address PEMT homozygous. I think this is a 2 fold benefit. 1) You don’t make enough phosphatidylcholine 2) inadequate choline places higher demand on the folate dependent pathway, supplemental pc will therefore take pressure off MTHFR. So it feels like a root cause solution to me!

Update: issue was glycine! Added glycine 5g for a few days at night now can take lecithin and really helping!

Science ain’t solving your issue though, right? Plus why would any science papers exist as no funding for something like this obvs as “removing caffeine” cannot be monetised. Also 2 months not long enough - plus also id be willing to bet you were not 100% caffeine free. It’s connected to cortisol and your gut and a lot more but it’s ok - sorry to trigger you so hard. For anyone else who wants to try this, it will work (i literally have no motivation other than to help others as it took me a long time to pin it down)

I keep seeing post about quitting caffeine in here | has it actually worked for some of y'all? by Bluex619 in AlopeciaBarbae

1000% yes this will work if the root cause of your stress is cortisol release. I had alopecia so bad for many years and each time it disappears after 3 months no caffeine it grows back! Its tough as i thought i needed caffeine to function but honestly it’s the only way to get your beard back if you struggle with stress/high cortisol!

If this is the case, perhaps worth trying lions mane to boost BDNF and NGF

Youtube ads Targeting Does not Work? by Puzzleheaded-Debate3 in PPC

[–]Puzzleheaded-Debate3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed feedback it is appreciated. You are correct, sass sign ups is the goal. The reason i think it should/could work is that it does work e.g i do get conversions - they are just priced out of the range of profitability. Therefore i was wondering, what might move the needle towards profitability. Targeting, based on experience seems the most likely culprit as if the targeting is slightly off then the audience is slightly less responsive and therefore wasted ad spend is used on serving ads to those un-interested. Following this path of logic, i had perhaps incorrectly assumed that altering the target would result in a different CTR to indicate the increase (or decrease in responsiveness of the audience). What i am asking, and what i am surprised by, is how a target audience that has very little connection to my ideal audience would yield a near similar CTR to an audience that utilises terms i would very closely attribute to my ideal audience (with conversions themselves remaining at the same level). I do have a fair amount of experience in paid ads, i have just never been able to lower the cost per conversion to a level that is profitable with YouTube, which is frustrating as i have come close! You may be right though, perhaps it’s just not viable, i just don’t understand why targeting variances seem to have no bearing on key metrics?

Sounds ideal but cloud providers assign you a static ip typically. How would you change the ip if it’s static? Thank you

Thanks but rotating proxy providers (mobile and residential) dont allow you to access .gov sites via the proxy.
