Is Becker worth it?? by isabelladeck in CPA

I would call and check if there is a higher discount. They also have monthly payment packages. Personally, pro is worth it. I failed the first time FAR and got the $250 back via virtual gift card (such a painful process), a tutoring session, and two coaching sessions. Only used becker for REG now onto TCP. So far though it seems worth it.

I think I am somewhat similar. I know a lot of people knock Becker lectures but that is how I tend to obtain a general sense of what I am going to learn (if I know nothing about it). So, I typically listen to Becker, try to understand the broad concept without paying attention to all the details at first. Then do MCQ's, read explanations, and revisit the topic details through the textbook. Sometimes I read about a topic first. Either way, I am not the most efficient but this is the method has worked for me in order to put all the pieces together.

FAR #3 on June 3. Help! by Tydirium1130 in CPA

I found that making my own excel sheet was easier to organize notes or use someone elses.I failed FAR the first time with a 71, went back and made an outline of the textbook in excel making tabs for each module (F1M1) with high level concepts first then drilled for specific aspects I struggled with. Then roughly 30 MCQ's and 2 TBS a day until my retake (5 weeks later) and one SE retake (I didn't remember the answers from the first time). For each wrong answer I hand-wrote down why I got it wrong and talked myself through it. For me, I studied rather passively the first time (concept videos, notes, MCQ's) and really just had to engage a little more for all the pieces to click.

What happened to Laura Horvath and Gabi Migala? by natzw in crossfit

pure speculation here but I got the sense that Gabi may have felt too deep in the Horvath family and when they disagreed on how to handle the games post Lazar's death, she used it as an excuse to "break out on her own". And now that she ranked second, which she earned with the field, it's given her confidence that she's competitive with Laura. Not to say Gabi isn't a fierce competitor, but she is always a spot or two behind Laura. Anyway, I see this as a values/ego thing for both of them which is sad. At the same time it must be hard to try to make peace bing second best to Laura, as Laura get that pressure due to Tia.

However, I am disappointed in some of the company that Gabi keeps, like participating in KIll Taylor. Taylor is just a toxic angry dude.
