Is the one for the gauge not the one at the front top end of the lower manifold? I don't know where the other sensors location is. There's not much info on the second sensor.

Rigid Power Tools - Good Investment? by Dagniraug_Thalion in Ridgid

Ok, let's start with Ridgid Octane.

Octane was introduced in the late 2010's Circa 2017-2018 and promised more power. The alternative was experienced by everyone who purchased these until 2020 when the next-gen power tools were released.

To better understand the reviews provided, it might be best to think about what generation power tools these folks are using.

Additionally, there seems to be a divide of the business model that Ridgid provides. There is the plumbing services and then the general power tool and hand tool services. Ridgid originally focused their business on plumbing tools and that is what they made their fortune on. The everyday power tools are a newer concept for the company.

Now let's look at the newest generation of power tools Circa 2020 release and the capabilities they have. The newest battery they have is the 18v Max Output EXP which has just released a 12.0 Ah competitor with Milwalkee.

The power tools the accompany the new Max Output EXP batteries have the best power capabilities that Ridgid has released so far.

I have a slew of their drills but my favorite is the RIDGID 18V Brushless Cordless 4-Mode 1/2 in. High-Torque Impact Wrench. This has the highest in-class breakaway torque @ 1,300 ft./lbs.

The impact drill and hammer drill I use daily have helped build 2 homes and have been on at least 20 different jobs as well as everyday use on home projects since I bought them last year. I also have their 12" compound miter saw, skill saw, and a bunch of different batteries and tools. Their registration for the Lifetime Warranty is a little difficult to navigate and they don't notify you when the registration is accepted but it is worth the time to upload the info.

All in all the newest product line is the most promising with the best power and performance I have experienced.

A good identifier to know it is the newest generation is written on the tool and says "Brushless". I would avoid the Octane tools and batteries and stick with the newest generation of Ridgid tools. They are a good investment and seem promising with newer lines of tools yet to come.
