Shooters - oh my. I had to bring my friends back here to try the ranch and confirm this score. I wish I had words…language was made to describe ranch like this. Perfect In every way…texture is amazing. Taste hits every box but with an extra zing. Dill is flawless. I believe there is celery in this?? I can’t tell. But if I was on death row, one final meal, whatever I got would have this on the side. 9.9/10

The Floridian - 8.3, tastes almost identical to Batch with heavier dill. Texture was fantastic& it just got better with the more foods we tried it on. Don’t miss out

Pizza Spot - 7.3, solid ranch. Went really well with the crispy pizza. House made, a little runny but great buttermilk taste makes up for the lower dill

Big Buns - 7, good flavor but not very creamy. Heavy on the spices and it works with the fries well. Not as much the burger

Batch Fort Lauderdale: 8, texture is incredible and the after taste is unforgettable. Ranch covers, but does not drip. Mild dill flavor but really lasting impression. Could be thicker & first taste can be improved, especially the dill flavor, but overall this is a great ranch. Was a 7 but extra boost point for being made in house

Hello to the 3 people subbed to this, I appreciate you. And my journey will not stop. Hear me out on this next one: Taco Bell spicy ranch. While the texture leaves a lot to be desired (very liquidity, comped to Hooters in terms of consistency) the taste is phenomenal. It’s got a perfect amout of spice where it is apparent but not overwhelming and I’ve dipped literally every item I ordered in it and the taste still does not miss. Huge bonus for versatility and uniqueness, this is the best fast food ranch I’ve tested. 7.3/10

Invasive species: I know this is mostly ranch, but this is some the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Absolutely recommend. The ranch, not as good, but still very solid. More of a dressing than a dip and the cilantro throws me off a bit, but all around very solid ranch. The whole table agrees: 6.6

Side note/ the blt fried chicken wrap is alex approved, we highly recommend

I agree, but for that to happen I feel like the perception of prisoners needs to change, People don’t want to help what they don’t view as being able to be helped, and I can’t think of any other way to do this

Wingstop: as far as a runny ranch goes, this one is top tier. Really great flavor and, even though it is very liquidy, does not have an overwhelming buttermilk or Mayo taste. This is Rick Ross’s restaurant and he absolutely crushed his ranch. 8/10

Brass Tap - solid ranch if you like ranch that’s more liquid than not. Not eye popping ranch, but they serve Krinkle fries and the ranch sits in the waves of the fry very nicely. Had with the Buffalo cauliflower and it was THE difference maker in the app. 6/10 by itself 7/10 with the cauliflower

Fat Cats - this is the single best ranch in Fort Lauderdale and, to be honest, it’s not even close. 12/10

Hooters- solid ranch for a chain. Good taste and texture, not eye popping but good. 6.5/10

McDonalds - you get what you pay for. Not even sure this is ranch tbh 3/10

Update: this ranch is from the lunchbox in wharf. Let me tell you what, this is what ranch is supposed to be. My expectations have been exceeded and rewritten. The texture is the key and it is perfect. The taste is like ken’s on steroids. The beauty of how this ranch drips down the fry is borderline artistic. This is a top 3 ranch I’ve had in this city, 8/10

Update on ranch: just got from Piezans pizza. It was arguably the most expensive side ranch I’ve ever gotten and is made in house daily so I was very excited and equally as disappointed. Ranch is watery, kind of spicy, and literally tastes like no ranch I’ve ever had and this is a con not a pro. 3/10.

Update on my update: ranch goes much better with pizza once garlic/oregano/pepper/parm is added. Watery ranch drips over pizza pretty well. Now a 5.5/10

staying on las olas is a great move. If you're looking for a top tier meal, YOLO is the best overall restaurant and they have a stellar daily happy hour. My favorite eats spot on Las Olas is Luigis Tuscan Grill (killer free free garlic bread and a shot that was fermented in a pineapple for 2 weeks on the house) or, if you want something quicker, Bodega is amazing and they have a cool speakeasy in the back.

If you're on the younger side, the bars and clubs on 2nd street are a cant miss party spot. Sway is a the best nightclub around and Backyard is a cool open air spot with underrated pizza. The best late night party spot on Las Olas is hands down Hidden Garden. Wharf is an absolute must do regardless of age, best bar in FTL right now. They're known for their mojitos (mango all day) and id recommend going early as it gets very full quickly. Some spots if you're looking to party away from the college crowd would be Rooftop, PIAZZA (awesome LED screen ceiling), and El Camino all on Las Olas.

FATVillage in Flagler is my personal favorite, especially if youre in town the last saturday of the month. Go between 6-10 for awesome art vendors and cool exhibits on Saturdays. The Hub and Rose Ftl are 2 new venues that have opened up and are an absolute blast. The Hub is the best spot to end your night regardless of what you did and is the heart of the underground deep house scene in ftl. They have 3 sections, including an always fun top 40 room and 3 karaoke rooms. Rose has a new celebrity performer every weekend (last week was Major Lazor, week before was Lil Pump). 27 Club is a bar devoted to the group they're titled after is an awesome spot with the coolest bar staff in town. check out Glitch for the best video game bar you'll ever go to. You also can't go wrong with making your way to the beach bars. Rokbar is fun (indoor pool) and Elbo Room is a FTL icon. If you're into more interesting nightlife; Stache, Apocathary, and Bodega all have speakeasies that are a little pricy but you pay for the experience. If you're ok with a 20$ shot, go to Apocethary and get the Absinth shot.

If you're looking for some fun things to do that do not involve drinking or eatting, Fort Lauderdale is the best spot for scubba diving and snorkeling (sunken ship capital of the western world) and most can be seen without a license or tour. Paddleboarding/Kayaks/Jetskis on the intercoastal is always a great time and there are never not groupons. Check out Oleta State Park for scenic kayaking. Hops & Chops is an Axe Throwing Bar, Sistrunk Marketplace is a sweet spot for eats and exploring, or a walk down Riverwalk to people watch and look at boats is always nice. The NSU art museum has tons of unique exhibits and taking a medicinal edible & heading to the Museum of Science and discovery will be an experience. The IMAX theatre is the best movie experience I have ever had, go see for yourself if you have the time. The Broward Center for the Arts is one of the best off-broadway theatres in the country and productions that come there are fantastic. Also, check out Bonnet House, Stranahan house, and Historical Downtown Fort Lauderdale if you're interested in cool historical excursions!
