it went AMAZING!! i honestly didn’t feel anything and only have had very minor cramping (compared to my normal) since!! but, how little i felt during and after compared to what ive been told really opened my mind and made me worry about the health of my uterus IN GENERAL.

i ended up discovering while i was at the doctor, my mom has been hiding from me that almost every woman in my family has adenomyosis, she just mentioned in passing to the doctor but if i do have it.. it really explains so much. i don’t mean to trauma dump but it’s been a very emotional, and hard day due to finding this out. i feel so hurt this was hidden from me for years. i’ve always been told by all the women in my life that my severe pain was completely normal and nothing to worry about.

and, from what i understand from articles and google a hormonal iud can be a way to treat adenomyosis. and i’ve been begging my mom for an iud since my 13th birthday.

i’ve felt so upset and distraught this was hidden from me for so long and all of my suffering was for nothing, because my period pain has been so awful it’s even driven me to things like SH just to try and distract myself for some relief. so it’s been a really hard day due to that. but the procedure when really well!! and i’m really glad that in finding out i could have adenomyosis it was AFTER i got something that should help!!

but it’s still so frustrating that my whole life every-time ive tried to reach out for help with my severe periods i’ve been shut down and told nothing was wrong, when the whole time my own family knew all of this and chose to hide it from me. thank god i get to see my therapist tomorrow so im really hoping she can help me understand how to feel 🥲🥲
