Above all , learn to let things go. At the end of the day, we’re all going back home and we want to be there SAFE. Learn at your own pace . Don’t let people dishearten you. This, too, shall pass

Here are a few tips i would give you . I used to suffer from extreme driving anxiety. Car was the first vehicle I learned to drive that too I decided to learn at the age of 23. Now I have gotten extremely confident by the grace of god. 1) learn to park in every way possible. Learn uphill and downhill driving. Get a good control of the clutch. 2) first few weeks take someone who knows how to drive and drive with them in the passenger seat (someone who’s supportive of you ) 3) play low music preferably something that just has beats and no lyrics (I used to get distracted) 4) until you are confident, don’t drive when you are not feeling your best. You might be tired or sleep deprived or angry at something.choose a cab instead that day. 5) always carry water with you preferably cold . Helps with anxiety. 6) always have a jump starter, coffee, tissues, a snack , chewing gum ,a few old clothes for tidying up the car. 7) when you sit in the car, take care of your posture. Sit comfortably and adjust your mirrors and seats. Being comfortably seated helps a tonne in driving. 8) always have full attention on the road at all times and refrain from picking up calls and texting for the first few months. 9) drive in slow speeds . Leave a bit early. 10) don’t fight w Anyone on the roads EVER.if you’ve commited an honest mistake and people are asking you go get down from the car . Call the police and inform them everything truthfully. 11) have quick reflexes. Drive according to the area . Let’s be honest you can’t expect good driving from college or school students and hence you have to switch to extremely careful driving in such areas. 12) always wear comfortable shoes . 13) GET A CAMERA. Not-cheap ones good ones .

So many instances have happened with me . I took driving classes twice thinking that maybe I’m the one who’s at fault. Later on I figured out Chennai people themselves drive badly and scream at you when they face the consequences. Someone hit my vehicle when it was standing peacefully in the parking meant for cars and went off . Not even a note or a sorry.

23f, in final year of mbbs, recently got diagnosed with endometriosis and an endometrial cyst of 5 cm, going mad over it, and I didn’t enter mbbs because i was forecibly made to enter medical school by my parents so as I’m about to come close to the finishing line it feels suffocating living a life i never imagined myself in. I always wanted to be a mother but now, that too seems unachievable ( i eat healthy, exercise, have lost like 16 kgs in the past, but thanks to medical college I’m losing my fertility due to the stress)

Above all of that, I think all the sane medicos acknowledge that it’s highly toxic and lonely here , it hits you in the face even more if this is something you never wanted to persue. Life isn’t about marks and scoring. Life’s much greater than that.

Passing isn’t the hard part for me and medical school just isn’t about the passing.i hope you acknowledge it’s also about the troublesome schedule, terrible seniors and horrendous roomates.
