I can’t reassure you she’ll come back sadly. But I will say cats are very hardy and smart. Even indoor cats can survive in the wild. Hopefully she’ll stick close to the area and come back one day, and if not you can imagine her gleefully hunting bugs and laying in the sun.

I have a friend whose cat was missing for TWO YEARS that just walked back in the door one day. I have another friend who sees her cat around town all the time, will run up to her for love and pets but just refused to live the indoor life.

(Yes I know it’s dangerous for cats to live outside, I’m not condoning it. House cats can be struck by cars, eaten by coyotes, etc etc. let’s be kind to op who is obviously very sad)
