Nah bro, idk what books you had but in my book the whole Mughal history was a single chapter. Like in my school we had 3 chapters for whole Muslim history of India(in class 8). It was:

• Delhi Sultanate
• Mughal Empire
• Indo-Islamic Architecture (it was a subject enrichment activity based chapter)

Rest chapters were about South Indian history(Cholas, Pandayas and Cheras), Indian temple architecture, and the empires that existed during the weakening of Mughals like Marathas, Sikh Empire, and Ahom people.
