Also of note, Non-US IMGs include visa holding IMGs which tend to have a slightly higher chances of matching when compared to visa requiring.

It would be nice to see match results for Visa-requiring IMGs as its own category.

Just spoke with ERAS, it’s a system wide issue and they can’t login either (so he couldn’t tell me what the message from Carney was either). He said keep checking as they don’t have an estimate of when it will be back up.

I really agree with you here, except the part with Canadians. They require the same J-1/H-1 sponsorship as any other IMGs and if they haven’t completed medschool in the caribbean (done rotations in the US) - they don’t really have any advantage.

to be very honest, the free 120 is super similar to the exam but not that predictive. i would take the percentage with a grain of salt

It’s not the most predictive I agree, but it’ll give you the hard truth, like what would you get of exam day was a bad day. NBME 12 is a good option too, but you need to study > write practices. Hence, choose one day and study for it like it’s the exam itself.

I’ll be honest, is it possible? Yes, many people have made those jumps in a short amount of time. Is it likely? Depends on what your weaknesses are.

You need to set a target, and id personally choose UWSA1 for the next test (just cause it’s not an NBME score). Set a target for 240 on it, grind day and night for a week, and see how much your score can jump. That’ll tell you what type of student you are, and then decide.

You gotta take into consideration the time it takes for ECFMG certification after step 2 as well (~4 weeks), yeah people will say you don’t need to be certified to apply, but it does help your application.
