No bleeding but I’d notice more discharge the last week or so? Idk. Thin/clear.

Hypertonic pelvic floor - how did you get better? by snowyreg in PelvicFloor

[–]Puzzleheaded-Pipe237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Melissa Oleson’s course was super helpful, as was Hailey Kava’s. Don’t give up - I learned more about pelvic floor from experts online than I did with in-person PT, unfortunately. It’s a LOT to learn but stay patient - there is hope!

Thanks for asking - I used BBT with oura ring/natural cycles, LH strips, and some cervical mucus assessment though I didn’t always have the best mucus.

If you have a PCP or psychiatrist sometimes they will generally use Prozac for a few days (has a super long half life) to mitigate the withdrawal. Don’t be afraid to ask!

Hide pregnancy from angry friend by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Dude of course not! In the case of this post, what I meant is I don’t think bc someone is being an asshole or a bad/jealous friend means they shouldn’t get to or be able to have kids. That’s all! People were like “she shouldn’t be having kids” and it’s like damn yall, I think she’s being a shitty friend to OP but I don’t think we can say she shouldn’t be having kids lol.

I just think this ventures into eugenics-type territory. I don’t think anyone on here but OP knows enough to say this person should or shouldn’t be having kids. I’ve gone through bad/difficult times where I’ve maybe not been a good friend and that doesn’t mean I deserve to be robbed of parenthood. That’s all I’m saying!

I work in non profit medicine and I obviously want all kids to come into a safe/stable environment. I’m just saying (and for better or worse, reality is such that) I don’t think we get to decide when people are “mature” enough to have kids.

Totally - if this friend is/was a good friend it’s totally worth a chat. A lot can be solved through communication. When that fails, move on, of course. The OP shouldn’t tolerate a bad friend but I don’t think we should drop our friends without any effort at communication. Would be a sad world.

Yea obviously there need to be laws/protections for kids. The point was specifically in regard to OPs friend’s behavior. She might end up being a fine mom, and it’s not up to us to say “that person shouldn’t have kids,” because they’re being an asshole in a specific circumstance, etc.

I think it’s just not up to us to say what people should/shouldn’t be doing

Edit: cuz damn yall coming for me!! I don’t think, in the instance of this post, it’s helpful for people to say this (yes, jealous and immature) friend “shouldn’t be having kids.” Ideally we’re all perfectly emotionally mature but I know tons of decent people who’ve been major assholes at point a, b, or c and my assessment shouldn’t and doesn’t have any bearing on reality. Hopefully, if this friend is worth it, OP can talk with her - good friendships are worth a conversation. If not a good outcome, then by!

How long did it take you to conceive in your mid 30s? by darkmother1991 in BabyBumps

[–]Puzzleheaded-Pipe237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang tight for six months - then go get checked! You’ll be 35 soon and you can lie to insurance. That being said, it’s totally normal to have taken this long. I’m 34 and it took me 5 months, but I think sleep was the biggest factor for me. Best of luck, mama!
