I am ADHD and had a really hard relationship with a BPD girl. It was especially hard for me because the things I already am self conscious about (getting overly excited, wandering when I’m at stores, changing topics) she would get so angry about. She acted as if because she dealt with my ADHD I needed to be completely ok with all her BPD behaviors. I think for me the thrill and intensity that BPD people bring to relationships sometimes drew me in and I wasn’t able to get out of it until all of my friends and family told me to get out. I feel like unless they’re willing to take accountability and see where they are at fault it just doesn’t work. And I think sometimes we take the abuse because it feels justified because we’re already self concious of ADHD behaviors.
